People want an "authentic" zombie apocalpyse experience. But they dont want the "authentic" part. People should have the right to behave however they want. You cant say that "oh we cant give these buffs and nerfs to encourage X and discourage Y" and then say "but we cant have spraycan writing because there would be cocks everywhere!". Because that would just be attempting to limit a playstyle. YOU might not enjoy seeing cocks everywhere. But someone else might. YOU might not enjoy KOS. But someone else might. YOU might be a good person. But someone else might not. I guess what Im saying is - if a writing mechanic is going to be implimented, it shouldnt be done half assed if its possible within the engine and not going to take significant amount of resources to impliment. It should be done the whole way and people should have to deal with it. Would I personally enjoy seeing cocks everywhere? Not really I guess. But I do think people should have that option - IF THEY CHOOSE TO.

All I want in terms of graphics is the roads not to look retarded. Seeing the texture on the road being squashed together to create lines in the road that only appear up to around a 5 meter radius of my character is really immersion breaking.

The way I see it is like this... The update will come when it comes. If I want it to come faster then I either need to learn some coding skills and try to join the mod team, or get an awesome job and start paying the team money so they can work on the mod more often. Until then, enjoy life, go for walks, maybe ask out the girl next door (Im still working up the courage for the 3rd one!)

And its THIS kind of mentality as to why you get SOS. Its a cycle thats idiotic and for the weak.

If you log in a field then suck it up. You could just as easily logged out in the treeline or some bushes nearby.

Id like a scoreboard of survival times so people can compete. This wouldnt be based on the days your character is alive, but rather just add up the time you are actually logged in. Survive 1 day: Survive 7 days: Survive 14 days: Survive 30 days: Survive 120 days: Survive 200 Days: Survive 365 Days: I figure that if anyone gets even close to the 365 day achievement that they could just add more. But really what would be important would be the scoreboard of the longest survivors. I wouldnt reccomend any stat tracking such as murders/self defence, however times bandaged, number of times food eaten, number of times drinks drank, number of times shot, number of times broke bones, number of times healed someone else, etc Im down with. I dont think adding achivements such as "find a set of night vision goggles" or "pilot a helicopter" are a good idea since it can influence peoples playstyle. Example, you have NVG, I do not. I see you with them. I kill you just so I can loot you to get an achievement. Otherweise I might have just let you go. Same deal with a heli. Lets say I find you refueling. I could just wait for you to leave. Then again I might want my achievement so badly that I put a bullet in your head and steal your heli just so I can get an achievement. IMO ANYTHING that can influence you to perform actions you otherwise may not, is a really bad idea. Stat tracking and achievements for surviving X amount of days is the only real thing we can look at. Even the stat tracking would need to be looked into since some people may just start killing people to try and be top of the leaderboard if the number of kills is tracked. I mean this would technically encourage banditry. However on the flip side, tracking things such as people healed may encourage hero behavour which would be unfair a little when you think about it.

If you were ever to chage for whitelisting then you would need to make sure you had a huge legal contract that stipulated you wasnt going to run off with the money and that the money was going to be used specifically for the servers upkeep. Though Im still not too hot on the idea. I mean I figure that somoene would pay for access to it, but its certainly not my bag and I guarantee that a vast amount of people will be calling you a greedy b*****d and stuff. I wouldnt recommend it.

The end of the world is a sausage fest. Im hoping that steam standalone will fix this. I dont wanna live in a world where women arnt around to reject me.
