How do backpacks work since the latest patch?

Are they supposed to have separate weapon slot like tents en vehicles? I have an alice backpack, which is now supposed to have 2 weapon slots. When I moved a gun in it with fewer than, it disappeared.

Backpacks do not have separate slots. Your Alice pack has 20 slots for items. Main weapons take 10 slots, sidearms take 5 slots, and regular items take 1 slot. That is the general rule of thumb at the very least. Wood takes 2 slots, and vehicle parts vary. You need to try for yourself.

Specifically, he has probably become confused by the new stats backpacks have been given, which say that each backpack has X number of weapons slots. This stat, as far as we know now, is complete rubbish.

I think there should be some explanation to accompany some of the more important and/or confusing changelogs.

-Backpacks updated- doesn't really help us see how they were updated, does it?

As stated, no-one seems to know what the 'weapons' column means.

From experience of playing the v175 beta, it looks like the Alice pack simply lost 4 slots.

I'd also like to know if the loot table has been changed to make Czech packs more rare, and whether they still spawn in supermarkets?

when you 'lose' something out of your pack it is generally within a 20 or so metre radius of where you are laying on the ground. Refound a few things like this when i go the wrong way switching out guns.

Personally, I'm just going to chalk it up as a broken feature.

As for the Czech packs, they do seem more rare as I have yet to find one. I sure hope it doesn't only spawn in military areas now.

Czech is bigger now. Finally. This is 100 percent logical. First czech look bigger than alice and its made of camouflage materials. Can't remember how much time i die thinking that am hidden just because alice pack looks like marker in the grass.

Only thing that worry me is why am still stuck on Loading char. data screen :-) after new patch :-)

Yeah just updated mid game Alice pack now has 16 slots :-( pretty shit. Don't know what happened to the items in the other 4 slots. Sigh..
