DIfferent Server Different FPS?

Recommended Posts

Hey, I've been playing DayZ for a while now, but only on one server. I changed servers and got a lower FPS :(

Will my FPS alter between servers? and why is that?

Thanks in advance :)

Michael

Yes, it will. Some servers perform better than others, simple as that. Also, things like how often the server is restarted i.e. how many dead players and zombies etc. are on the map can also affect your performance.

also servers that have good specs and bandwidth allowances ;)

a busy 50 man server should be rebooted every 3 to 4 hrs to stop desyncing and problems.

This being Said, is there any extra things I can do to make my game run faster?

Using start parameters can in most cases improve your gameplay and performance.

MSI Afterburner boosted me around 10 fps on most servers.

There are plenty of helpful tips if you search online. I will say from experience it's a good idea to keep your GPU drivers up to date.

Thanks for the help guys! because my FPS Fluctuates a lot! on a server restart I get MOST a 40, (This is on a 500+ Vehicles Taviana Map)

Then over time it'll just drop to around 13 :/ becomes fairly unplayable as well in vehicle driving long distance, Goes to around 8 / 9 FPS, But My PC is not exactly bad, I mean it's fairly Decent To be honest

With these parameters in place, I'm running on about 30 FPS :D Helps a lot! Thanks guys <3

Also try -exthreads=5 or 7 and -maxvram=1024 or 2047 depending on your hardware. :)
