Flubber (DayZ) 2 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) well, still haven't figured this out! it's funny cuz on Namalsk is the least bugged map!Well back to basic, this wasn't a problem before the 2 - 3 last dayz updates!I join the game and everything is fine, some tree's and houses are glitching white and red fast but that ain't my main problem, i can play for about 1 - 30 min and then my screen goes black!Shaking the mouse can remove it and on many locations i can narrow the "blackness" down by looking at a specific direction, moving the mouse 1 cm to left and it's gone moving it back and it goes black again! iv tryed flushing and everything ingame, adjusting graphic. tried everything on low, high, no changes!also tried ati drivers from the oldest that follow my graphic card box to the newest driver's from ati home page!Note: Yes i have tried flushing!System:Cpu: Intel® Core i7-3820 ProcessorGpu: PowerColor Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5Ram: Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 2000MHz 12GBYoutube Video Of The Problem!!! Edith:This only happens in dayz, is i play wasteland there's no bugs that i know of!also i don't know if this is just bugs ore me imagining, but the glitch seems to be "less" when im recording with fraps! Also the bug is worse when im in fields of forest, open fields! i rarely get the bug when im in big city's!Chernasus is the worst map to play for me! rearly get to play more then 10 - 15 mins before i have to restart arma! [Gen]Adzic 241 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Usually I would say... I think its your video card about to crap out.but it don't look to be that type of issue, since the UI seems unaffected by the issue your having, that and the fact its only DayZ you having the problem with. Have you tried re-installing the game? or removing the @DayZ mod folder and re-downloading it?They the only things I can think of to help. Wish more people with problems would use a Video explanation, much more helpful to potential helpers to actually see the issue, beans for that! terminal_boy 860 Posted February 3, 2013 Have you tried running MSI Afterburner and setting it to display GPU Usage and GPU Temp in-game?The glitches shown in your video do make me suspect your video card is having a real hard time with DayZ.When was the last time you opened up your PC and cleaned the dust out of the fans, especially the GPU fan?I used to run a 6850 and it sucked in every last piece of crud.. Flubber (DayZ) 2 Posted February 3, 2013 oki, running dayz now as we speak with gpu cooler at 100% "noisey as #"ck but hey, getting 75 - 100 fps in fields of forrest on chernasus, gpu at 48 degrees. haven't goten the glitch yet but i will play 30 - 90 mins to verefy this! Flubber (DayZ) 2 Posted February 3, 2013 Well right off i noticed differers when running the cooler on max, i could enable shadows again with out it instantly glitch out! and well after 15 mins playtime no glitch accrued! the cpu temp got to a max at 49 degrees! im going to experiment with this to make a sure conclusion that this is my problem going to try playing now with the card cooler set on auto! terminal_boy 860 Posted February 3, 2013 What temps was the GPU reaching before you set the fan to 100%.Fans on the 6XXX series are pretty noisy under load.My 7970 maxes out at 65 degrees C under load and the fans never run harder than 45-50% percent. Flubber (DayZ) 2 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) lwell at 73 degrees the graphic glitching started again! cooled it back down again and it started again exact when it reached 73 degrees! the cooler is only ramping up to 32-33%conclution:71 - 73 degree's = graphic is flashing white and black at textures73 - 76 degree's = Graphic turns black, shaking mouse will show normal colors for short time!Max the fan ramped up: 33%I will now try to run the cooler manual at 45% to see what temps i get! Flubber (DayZ) 2 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Conclusion:My dayz graphic error\glitch were due to GPU overheating! To solve this problem i turn the fans to manual control at set them to minimum 45%that gave an output of 64 degree on the gpu! so i would recomend 45% fan speed as minimum! From now on i will bump it over to manual and up to 50% when playing dayz!Graphic settings were: werry high,My graphic card is: Radeon Power Color HD 6970 2gbNote: My card is also fully over clocked with CCCAlso running 2 displays at 1080pWould like to thank you guys for pointing this simple fix out to me! have been struggling with this for quite a while now! will change the thread topic to solved! Will try now to play a couple of hours on my main server and see how this works out!
