drakenof 9 Posted May 9, 2012 Today on EU7 i got a strange suprise, everyone was visible and showing as a red dot on the map. Wich was a little disturbing to be honest, because it explain a fuckton of deaths i have encoutered in the middle of nowhere. What is this exactly, some kind of new hack ? dunkhan 8 Posted May 9, 2012 I have seen this too. I have established that when it occurs everyone can see everyone. It also seems to turn off and on although I am not sure about that one. I joined a server and carefully checked that this was not happening, and then later it happened again. This is a major problem imo and needs to be fixed. Exuve 1 Posted May 9, 2012 This happened on Dallas 1 as well, I'm not sure if someone was cheating or not but a quick server restart fixed the issue.*Edit* I would also suggest any server administrators install Battle Eye Extended Controls, it logs map marker placement and deletion by filtering packets. I recommend leaving the server immediately, if no admin is around.A well known cheater group is currently very active on DayZ servers. ArmA veterans know who I'm talking about. Know your enemy.Unfortunately, I have to admit, that this group is quite skilled, when it comes to scripting and injecting their crap. They have been around since Operation Flashpoint.There is not much we can do about at the moment. ArmA UID nor BattlEye GUID bans can't stop them. They know how to overcome it. The only way to stop them, permanently, is to get their Keys locked by GameSpy (as rocket is trying).Best defense for server admins, currently, is to keep their BattlEye script detection up-to-date. That's why I'm spying on them.The worst cheats are those that you will not notice. They can see all people on the map, spawn vehicles, weapons, items, you name it.Some of them are eager to ruin the game for everybody else, some are just regular cheaters.It's a very bad situation at the moment. Karma_UK 2 Posted May 9, 2012 Damit I saw this on an EU server last nite, thought is was a bug as I had just picked up a GPS & Map.Really wish i had screen shotted now though as there was a bunch of peeps at the very bottom left of the map, way out at sea.
