Logitech G500 Key Bindings not working

Hi All

I've been trying to get logitech setpoint to set bindings when I launch DayZ (armaoa.exe) but it won't launch with the buttons set and only has them as default bindings. It works with BF3, crysis 2/3, etc.

I've read that it may be a permissions thing? I've installed Arma 2 (via steam) to my d: drive (d:\Games\steam...\common\arma, etc...

FYI. I'm running the latest logitech setpoint software and win8 64bit.

Any ideas what to do to troubleshoot/get this fixed?

I've made a macro to connect to steam

and then another one to go "Start -> Seach -> ArmA 2 Op -> 'Enter' "

Because i've got same problem as you, tho' i'd suggest you get DayZ Commander, and then make the hotkey/macro to open up DayZ Commander insteed :)

Not sure if i explained the problem properly or if you're solution will actually work

The issue i'm having is that using logitech setpoint software I can change all the buttons on my G500 to perform different funtions to the norm. For example, I can rebind the 'increase dpi' button to do press key 'g' to open my inventory.... this is key binding facility is broken... are we on the same page?

I have the same problem but with my G5 (first edition) & W7 64 pro.

When I use the latest setpoint version the binds do not work.

I have to install the driver version that came with the mouse for it to work.

Cheers for the replies fellas. It sounds like a problem with set point software then. I'll see if I can find different win 8 compatible software but I'm not holding out hope as win8 is fairly new

Although, Boneboys, can u remember if the latest set point worked with other games, mine does. Maybe I should be logging this as a bug in Arma?

You cant simple using the ingame key setting? Works fine for me without setpoint.

Sure but it doesn't work for all available buttons

Are you using DAYZCOMMANDER? I noticed something, my setpoint bindings weren't working in dayz, so I went into settings and under 'steam options' check the 'launch using steam' & 'replace original arma2oa files with beta so steam works?' boxes. When those boxes are checked my bindings work, when they're not my bindings don't work.

I tried playing dayz today and my binds no longer worked, but I think I figured it out. Close setpoint and reload using "run as administrator". I'm running win7 64, not sure if it'll work with win8. Good Luck.
