Roark92 90 Posted February 1, 2013 are you trolling us now exogravis? lol"something is amidst" is incomplete, like you didnt get to finish what you were saying."we are in the midst of something" might work, or "something is amidst us" but i think those are just statements... an idiom would be like "in the calm before the storm"also, not sure if "something is amiss" is even a saying, all i know of along those lines is "something is afoot". but its hard to determine what constitutes a "saying", i wont say for sure as i am but only a man.i am NOT a grammar nazi, but i want to contribute to the inevitable destruction of this innocent thread.amidst the battles of the grammar wars, none escape judgement...
