Weird LAG

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I get stuck for a few milliseconds every 2-3 seconds. I tried several optimizations, found through google, which didnt help.

I tried several server, no difference. I tried all kind of different settings, from very high to very low, no difference. I tried completly

wiping the game from my ssd and reinstalling, which didnt help as well.

Any other game is working fine on my system.

Any hints?

My system:

CPU: i5 3570k @ 4,4Ghz

GPU: Ati 7970 3GB

HDD: installed on Corsair 128GB SSD

RAM: 8GB DDR3

Power: ~1000W

Sound: Asus Xonar DX

Are you using

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

?

You shouldn't really be having problems with stuttering on that system, especially running from an SSD. :S

You have OC'd when there is no need, might be the reason.

Just saying.

There is allways a need of overclocking to erase the last small microstutterings^^

Okay.. for dayz it is not that important but in e.g. GTA4 you get mor fps with every 100mhz you get more on the cpu. Whatever.

@theproblem

Yes give dayz a try without overclocking.

Do you have any other software running? Fraps, MSI Afterburner etc. Every software who is writing logs or doing the same task in every 1-3 seconds? Like fraps is updating the fpsnummbers every second. Maybe you virusscanner?

I expierienced this in the game Stalker with fraps(on my old slow system)

The Drivers on you pc are all correct? Chipset/GPU?
