Recommended Posts

I keep getting 15-20 FPS. But when I play just normal Arma 2 I get like 80 FPS. What is goin on!? Anyways what are the best settings for my system?

My Current System Specs:

4GB DDR2 RAM

MSI Radeon HD 7770 Ghz Edition

SB Audigy Sound Card

Rosewill Green Series 630Watt 80Plus PSU

Seagate Barricuda 1TB 7200 RPM Hard-drive.

Headset; Gamecon 780

I actually had a similar problem like you, my friend.

A friend of mine suggested I put my settings higher than they were (all were mostly on low). I put my graphics settings up to normal, and, due to the less CPU the quality of the graphics was taking up, I was experiencing less lag.

Try raising your settings a bit and see if that helps...

Huh, that's really weird. I run on a Radeon 7570D and manage 30-40FPS on Arma and DayZ.

I have a Radeon 6870 and have same FPS as the OP.

But my CPU is a Core2Quad Q9400 (2.67ghz).

In some crowded servers, it's almost unplayable.

It's the headset that's holding your rig back for sure.

But seriously. Arma is a CPU intensive game, and you have a pretty bad CPU to be honest. Your ram is also very outdated.

There are often 700+ zombies on a map, so that really drops your fps in dayz.
