Problems Running Game With Other players

Basically, if there is more than 6-8 players on the same server as me, My game becomes laggy and slow :(

Anyone offer any suggestions?

If anyone asks what my settings are will Post ASAP as im at work right now :P

Yeah pos your system spec, seems a bit bad for 8 players.

Stay out of major cities. More players = more zombies = more lag.

Edit:That probably doesn't make sense. You're just more likely to encounter other players in large cities... and the zombies they spawned.

Ta Dah! It goes laggy wehn im with players, and not even in the cities :/ very very VERY annoying as i do wanna play with others in a team and be able to play on the Balota buddies servers, wanna fix this first though :P

That's on board gfx is it not? There's your problem. Dayz is very cpu intensive too even an i7 will drop frames at times.

A graphics card won't help when you're playing on a laptop with a 2.5Ghz dual-core CPU, unfortunately.

My laptop's slightly higher spec than yours (with dedicated graphics) and I don't even bother with ARMA on it.

For DayZ - I'd recommend a 3Ghz quad-core, minimum. You can get away with slightly less powerful hardware in ARMA II, but the zombies, dead players, dead zombies etc. etc. all over the place in DayZ really put a lot of strain on your CPU.

Depends on the game. Some games rely on the graphics card a lot more and you'd be fine with a lower spec CPU as long as you had a good GPU but yeah, I'd aim for a 3Ghz+ quad (even overclocked if possible) if you want to play ARMA, DayZ, or a lot of other open world games that require a lot of processing power.

I run i7, 32gb ram, gtx580 and notice same issue....

Seems like cherno is worse than electro.... Went from 60-65fps on edge of cherno to 15-20 a block into cherno... But only dropped to 25-30 in electro........ I have a player that complains when we shoot too much because the more zombies the more he lags....

these are all on desktops. Given up with the laptop hunt as i can get better specs from a esktop for the same price :P

I'd say #1 but it's a kinda weird build. You don't need 16Gb RAM, you'd be better off with 8Gb of good quality RAM.

If you're from the UK maybe try a custom build on Vibox? :)

Agreed. I'm on an FX 8120 (8 core) overclocked to 4.1GHz and worst case scenario (60 people on server, fighting in elektro) I will hover around 19 fps. That is with 'High' settings, not maxed out, post processing disabled and antialiasing turned on low. I've played on a laptop with 2.3 GHz dual core and HD 3000 Integrated graphics but it wasn't fun.
