wdoughman 0 Posted January 30, 2013 Hello everyone, I am having a problem.I cannot find a way to fix weird stopping starting during the game. I don't think it is lag, the game will freeze about every two seconds for about a second and then continue. I have a very good computer and there is no lag at all when the game ISN'T stopped. I once entered a game and it ran perfectly, on all very high settings, so i know my computer can handle it, but that was only once. In every other game I've had this problem. It stops background programs from running while playing games and streamlines games when running them.Only other thing I would suggest is msconfig and learn what to untick.It does sound like lag a little. taco241 393 Posted January 30, 2013 I've had similar issues that eventually led to a hard-drive failure.Everyone should do this: Buy a second, cheap hard-drive for $50 and keep your machine cloned at all time. wdoughman 0 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Hmm... Does it make a difference that It will run crysis2 and skyrim on ultra settings? I think its just a problem with DayZ. Everything seems fine while browsing and using photoshop, and everything else but DayZ. Or am I missing something? Thank you for replies! BelMarduk 169 Posted January 30, 2013 I have had these issues also. Not all the time. I have a pretty powerhouse box, so it not my hardware. It only started since the 1.7.4.4 patch. You'll be running along, and it just freezes for a second, maybe two, then back to normal. I actually think it might be server side issue. I say this because there are two servers (both public hive) that I play on and NEVER have this issue. The game is almost unplayable. Could it be that im joining the wrong servers or something? Because there was one game where everything ran perfectly fine.
