When ever i play dayz or arma 2 i can play arround for a bit but then the game freezes following a crash to the computer sign in with an error message i can't read. I have all my graphics to low or verry low, and I'm using a laptop hooked up to a monitor and keybord running windows xp. i don't know anything else about my computer and i'm not very skilled with computers if anyone has a fix please tell me i will post any more information i get about this

Yeah..about that. Laptop+XP=too frickin' old for anything  :o

I'll give it a go-though.

-winxp -noCB -cpuCount=1 -exThreads=0

If you use Steam, Right click the icon from library<properties<launch options

If you use a non-Steam copy, I'd suggest to use either DayZ Commander or Play withSix and enter these launch options from within there. (I know that Play withSix has all options available to check/uncheck different launch options)

I do have a few more aces but I like to keep my sleeves loaded (like f'n spiderman with sticky-responses  )

OA. I believe the only reason Arma 2 may be required for anything is that OA is a stand-alone mod of Arma 2 but doesn't include "everything" so Arma2 is more than less a crate of models, textures and scripts..with a reference manual.

Though I've never used one, perhaps looking into a RAMDisk-type of program could help. It'll basically load the game into your System Ram and try not to use your hard drive. Ram being faster, more-direct connection than hard drive 'should' speed-up your game.
