U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted June 18, 2012 Today I must say was one of our greatest firefights. The story is as followed...After getting a cold and coughing. We decided to head down south to attempt to get antibiotics. Like the morons we were, we had no food or drinks. So we were stuck. Bluefox and Hops kill one another and I become zombie food. We all restart so I am no longer coughing. After spending a few hours raiding Eletro, while Bluefox was lost and unable to find camp, Hops and I run north to meet Bluefox at the camp, pick back up our better equipment and drop off our stocked up piles of blood-packs, Morphine, and Epi-pens.We consider our options, low on food and drinks, we decided to hit up Vybor for supplies. Its rather useful and we have never really met many individuals there. We run up along the field having fun shooting zombies along the way. As we roll up near the smoke stacks, we pause to discuss what is going on.Hops says, "I know we have been here many times before, but do not get comfortable." As if some gift from God we hear Markovo shots from Vybor. We all hit the ground. Hops with his M14, Bluefox and I with DMR's.Suddenly, Hops yells out. "Guy in the market!" Being in the field a bit away, Hops and Blue can see the guy, but I cannot."Ghillie on the school." I relay back to them, all three of us take aim up, Blue is unable to find the target this time. Hops releases a shot with the M14 and the guy goes down! We quickly break off to the left around the town to stay in the field, silencing off the zombies that came for us.We crawl slowly through the field, checking all of our sides when Blue says 'Two on the Hill!" I am once again in a bad spot to see them, but Blue and Hop's take them down quick, they both die. Our hearts are racing. We all get up to a crouch position, thinking thats all we heard of...We round the building to the street leading to the Office/School building and I turn the corner to see two men with silenced M4A1's. Unlike before, I knew this was a player, No sidearm and not ironsights I shoot from the hip with the DMR, Killing the player infront of me. Quickly strafing to the side I shout. "TWO INSIDE!" The second player must have been hit also, as he was bleeding. I go prone and watch the opening when Blue suddenly says. "Right in-fucking-front of you!" I don't get a chance to fire as I take a clip of silenced M4A1, Dropping dead. Bluefox and Hops light him up, he drops dead also. I don't even care I am dead. We are fairly positive this was a well organized and heavily equipped clan. Blue and Hops scrap up two M4A1 silenced with ten clips of ammo, two NVG, AS50 with three clips, Range finder, several GPS's. They don't even CARE about what loot the Ghillie guy had on the roof, they got out, went to camp and calmed down.I spent my time jogging back with a wide grin. It was a damn good day. U.B.C.S. Hops 128 Posted June 18, 2012 It was a adrenaline rush like I have never had before. Outnumbered 6-3 and we had only one casualty. Good day. Oh yeah, and we still are low on food Rav. ;)
U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted June 18, 2012 Damn you are right hops. We went to Vybor for food and came out with better weapons. What a backwards world Day-Z is.
dallas 5195 Posted June 18, 2012 If only you could cook a gps.
U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted June 18, 2012 ... Well when I think about it we have about eight pieces of uncooked meat and three pieces of cooked meat.We however, somehow have no water bottles and like two cans of Soda. Which Hops warned me with his last one if I started dying of thirst he'd drink it infront of me then shoot me.That was a good laugh until I remembered he'd actually do it. Haha. zantiago 119 Posted June 18, 2012 Awsome read mate.Loved the emotion put in to text here, definetely gonna keep reading you stuff :)Regarding water and food.. Depending ont he server, berenzino is the best place to get all that..I just drop off all my gear in the tent, and hop on a nightserver..and then i just clear out both super markets, and all the residential buildings, including the military camp east of berenzino..Usually i leave with 10bloodbags, and enough food and water to last 5days or moreOh, and for this to be successfull, you need a silenced weapon, or you will have to light up berenzino, as if you pull one guy there, you pull the whole town..My loadout for resource missions is: Guillie, M9SD, no primary wep, and ofcourse NVG's..Just make sure to spot out berenzino first, ou really don't wanna get shot in the back while beeing down there, there are 3 roofs they can be on, and alot of building complexes, so it has this risk vs reward thing going :p or u could do it during daytime, grab a spare tent, put it abit closer by to the coast, so incase u get capped u would only loose the guillie, and m9, so u drop the nvg's in the tentjust to be safe :p(however, this is never my job as im always the one lying 1000meters away, watching my friendlies through a scope ;)
U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted June 18, 2012 @ Zantiago - I hear you. Bluefox and I normally do that. Hops and Jenkins had the M297 and M4A1 for a bit while Blue and I had DMR's. Jenkins went offline and then this story happened.I was unaware Berenzino had blood packs! Our next goal is to fix up a car and then we will definitely be hitting that place up at some point. *Marks it on the map.*And yes, its definitely a game that gets a rise out of me emotionally. I don't mind FPS's like L4D, or so on. But It has been /so/ long since I have played a zombie survival game of this magnitude. I am very much enjoying it and will continue to enjoy it for a very, very long time.I had a guillie suit, once. I also had an M9, Once. Haha. but I died, this was before Hop's and I got together and now we rarely die.We don't do that camping Chenro or Electro thing. I would guess you could consider us Bandit Killers? Or really, killing anyone. If you've played Diablo 2 or Runescape, they often referred to those players as PKK's. (Player Killer Killers.) I suppose, thats what we are.Thank you for the amazing tip. zantiago 119 Posted June 18, 2012 Yeah, berenzino has 2 supermarkets, the North West one, which is pretty safe if you come from the south, cuz then you can spot it out, before moving up, and you can have sniper support thats out of harms way.The east supermarket on the otherhand, is very dodgy unless you got good area control, as it is next to 3 building complexes, like 3stories residiential buildings, which have tons of sniping spots..We aren't the cherno/elektro cod players either. The attitude of playing this game lieka normal fps game is just wrong, as it doesn't cater to that kind of playerbase by default..It's a war between the weak and crippled, against the lurkers in the forrest and some braineaters walking arround. When you are done at the east with that supermarket, then you will find a small military camp that ahs medical supplies, aswell as some weapons if you are lucky..If you then head north east, you will see a huge, and VERY steep mountain, ontop of that mountain you can find 2 ATV's that rarely need more than some engine parts, 2wheel and some gas to work..But be carefull... that place is prone to have bogeys in the bushes..Even for us 5with guillies, nvg's and silenced wep are very cautions, when closing into that spot...If you need gear then the military camp at Stary sobor is pretty decent, and seeing as there are ALOT of huge plains arround Stary, there are also a huge chance you can find heli cash sites there, for more weps, and such.. U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted June 18, 2012 Oh yes, we definately hit up the Stary Camp often. We normally watch over it with two snipers as two guys go in.The other day we almost died. Blue was watching over us with a DMR as I went in with Hop's to loot the tents when someone BARELY missed Hops and I dove for the trees. Blue turned around to check the hill but I guess because the guy missed he logged. We were about ready to comb the hillside for him.Ive found three Heli-crash sights and we found no loot at any of them. The server restarted, booted up, We saw TWO crash sights, got all excited. No loot. So disappointed.
zantiago 119 Posted June 18, 2012 hehe i see :DWell, if you are gonna spot the military camp, the best place to spot from is from the hill north of it, if you have a guy int he forrest to the east, and then one of the opposite side to the west, trees on both sides, and then you cover the WHOLE camp site.. Not a soul enters or exit's it, without you seeing it.If you see no loot at the heli crash sites it's either a bug, or there are allready loot at it that needs to be removed, remove the loot then pull out back into the forrest, drop the looted scrap in the forrest, and wait 5-10misn, then go check for loot again! never send more than 1 guy in though..Heli crash sites up north are usually camped by snipers..We got 2cars on Saturday due to haveing a sniper guarding the spot.."oh look, crashsite, lets drive our 8hr work next to them and loot it"Whoever we killed, thank you!Loved the fully repaired hippievan :>
Xerpce 0 Posted June 18, 2012 I love your stories and I would love to join your small group if possible xD
U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted June 18, 2012 By some stroke of luck today we managed to find an empty water bottle and two cows. So now we can pass around a water bottle at water sources. We are set until 1.7.1.2 comes out.Thankfully, I logged on this morning and picked up all the loot before I took a nap. I had a feeling a server restart was coming. Unfortunately, when I logged on our tents were gone! Eaten by the server. We only lost an M14, but I managed to hold onto all the other good loot.I would love to join your small group if possible xDStay tuned for that bit. We are currently working on our own servers and teamspeak. Not the cheap servers/TS either. Roughly over a hundred a month to run them. Looks like we will have three servers. One for testing new patches before implementing them on the main servers. Then one server possibly set for -6GMT and the other for +6GMT.
Xerpce 0 Posted June 19, 2012 Will be looking forward to it as long as you guys don't get too big. (coms get too messy when there are a lot of people, 5-6 people is the perfect number)

jokkl 0 Posted June 19, 2012 Who the f*ck is this Bluefox. Where did he come from?!
zantiago 119 Posted June 19, 2012 Jokkl, he was part of the FOXHOUND program, but enrolled with U.B.C.S after clearing out after the incident with Shadow Moses..
U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted June 19, 2012 @ Jokkl - Bluefox is my roommate and best friend. He decided to get the game after I had been playing it. This was his first night with us.@Zan - Hahaha.@ Xer - If we get to big, we will likely be splitting our groups up into 'squads' Each city will take roughly 4-5 people with them. Then we will break up the Map of Day-Z into U.B.C.S. sectors within our teamspeak. When a Squad is within that sector, they move to that channel in TS. we will of course have a main channel called 'Camp' or 'Base' Something along those lines.
