Hosting a Public Hive or a Private Hive?

There are tons of options for server hosting out there and most of them offer both Public and Private hive options for you to Administrate. Which type of server is most popular in the community? Do more people prefer playing on a server where the host is public and they can join other servers in order to continue their progress or do people prefer a more customized experience in DayZ these days?

Go for the private you wont be disappointed. I would throw in private vanilla as that is much liked.

Thank you for the prompt reply sir. I'm going to look further into Private Hive hosting then. I'm going to keep tabs on this post though to read other opinions. :)
