Dayz.st , first impressions and then some.

Recommended Posts

First off, want to start by saying that Dayz.st servers are totally amazing, performance and reliability wise. Outperforming any company I've been with to date. The initial issues have been resolved and it's like they are now at full speed. Thank you to CellKill and Allan for getting things sorted quickly , even though my initial experience with their support team wasn't a pleasant one, they are more than making up for it now. Cheers DayZ.st :)

As always, I can only tell you that if you want a decent server you will have to do it yourself on a dedicated machine.

A little bit more expensive but you have full control over the server.

Don't want to play DayZ anymore? Just switch it to another game without any problems.

Beside that you can run multiple instances without spending extra money.

Of course if you have limited amount of time to manage the server a managed server is probably better for you.

I didn't have a good time with managed hosts but maybe hosts like dayz.st and Survival Servers are better.

Yeah, think I got them on a bad day, even CellKill said it was a tough one. Great service otherwise, glad I'm with them.

Just noticed today (I haven't had a chance to get on in about a week) that they have included the rmod when selecting vehicles to spawn. And included quite a few awesome new vehicles. I have had them for about 3 weeks now and very impressed. If you have not seen the new vehicles check them out now. Had a blast with them this morning. Just wish they would do the same with weapons, which I feel is on the way.

This.

A dedicated box is a good bit more money but ultimately it is the best value. What ever you do though do not host through survival servers, before I had my dedicated box; we started on SS and it was terrible. Tools breaking every week, updates promised and would usually come a month after everyone else already had them. DayZ.st was much better but still not the control and scalability that dedicated box will give you.
