Remove built in rangefinder

With the new 1.7.1.1 patch you spawn with no weapon (hardcore), yet you have the ability to use a magic rangefinder ? (use the scroll)

I personaly play on no crosshiar/no 3rd person servers, as I feel it makes the game alot more fun, (I can see how some ppl might not like it tho).

But the main reson there is no way i play on these servers is the built in range finder...

This realy needs to be removed! it gives you the ability to scroll and see the exact distance someone is at instantly... imo snipers are somewhat overpowered as it is. (atlest the really high end snipers, M107 etc)

But this makes them way to easy to use, you can instantly see range and zero in and kill, (even without the ability to zero in, you can just remeber what mil-dot to use at that range) this takes away much of the skill needed to perform with a sniper rifle.

I can see no reason to have this feature in the game.

I got a 620m headshot with my DMR yesterday, measured using my Rangefinders

I was on a server with no xhairs, 3rd, waypoints or that scrolly rangefinding thing

they exist, you just have to look for them

Rocket stated somewhen that DayZ could have an enforced ruleset for all servers, here's hoping it's completely unassisted
