Server keeps spamming this message to everyone. Not sure if that is a bug or server message.

Mostly spams that message when a flare is lit and going.

Yeah, i have seen this recently aswell, only ever seen it on the 1.7.1.1 servers.

Might be a new thing that BIS added to Battleye to scare people who have illegal copys?

This has nothing to do with illegal copies of the game as far as I know...

It happens when a character is stuck logged into the server. When someone is playing on a server, and they disconnect, sometimes their character stays logged in.

Then, when the player tries to join, the server detects the same IP trying to connect. Since the ghost is logged in, it denies you from connecting.

As far as I know, that's how it works, and that's what it means.

I have the Steam version and I was receiving the same message after using this install guide for the beta.

Thankfully, I checked out the thread a few days later and Dwarden (BIS developer) posted that using this beta installation method can screw up your game; I guess it somehow activates FADE.

I quickly reverted back to the regular beta installation method and I haven't seen that message since. I'm certain I've seen this same install guide floating around on here, so if you've used it, I suggest you do the same.

I have seen this once, both my friend and I saw it simultaneously however, so I assume it was either a problem caused serverside that affected everyone or just a public broadcast message over one player.

There is one I found on the Dayzwiki that works well (although it doesn't record playtime).
