Question about the animals

Okay, well I'm playing a server at night, and it's pitch black.. I like it when it's like that, but I'm having alittle trouble finding some animals, where would they be? like eg, farms, fields forest etc.

I'm kinda new at this, and low on blood :(

Open fields and forests.

Deer stands are often good places to spot animals from, but don't shoot from one with a Lee Enfield unless you want every zombie for miles around to rush up the ladder and eat you.

The can be found randomly throughout the forest or fields, even seen a cow wandering Cherno. The field ones typically have more meat on them though, and are easier to see at night. One way you can hunt is using the peripheral dots on the side of your screen, they typically mean there's an animal there if you're not near any zombie spawns.
