Tree Troubles

So I have been researching this for quite some time to no avail. My problem is trees. Whenever I go near a tree or even look at it my game goes down to 2-6 frames a second until I look at something not related to a tree like the ground. The same goes for bushes but less laggy. I have the launch commands set, my .cfg file set to an optimum level, and all of my graphics set to low. This also happens in any town with trees in Takistan. I will post my specs when I

get them but any advice will be appreciated greatly!
