Standalone : adrenaline

Recommended Posts

Maybe if there's time somewhere along the way during the creation or further enhancement of the DayZ standalone game, rocket should consider implementing adrenaline or something along the way here. Now, drawing your pistol, standing up, going over a fence, from crouch to standing and having to run all takes wayyyyyyyyyy too long for anyone in real life that would be in this much danger (like a zombie charging and you're standing there clueless waiting for your character to stand up so you can run away). Maybe, as 'fear' (some math calculated variable maybe) would increase the character would draw faster, stand up quicker, run faster, be able to withstand more pain because of adrenaline.

Just throwing it outa there, i have no clue about how games are made and how hard/useless this might be :)

The current problem with the slowness of animations and actions is the fact that the ARMA 2 engine cannot play two animations at once. (Edit; Or was it that it just can't run two actions at once on a player model?)

This is why you have to stop before vaulting and drawing/holstering/switching your gun, and other things like that.
