Dayz is extremely laggy (unplayable)

Recommended Posts

Hi guys just querying here because I've been told that dayz should run fine on my laptop however it is unplayable for some reason because of lag. My laptop specs are below and all drivers are updated so any help would be appreciated. I have turned most setting down but it still runs at like 5fps so it's not very useful

Acer V3-571G

Intel Core i5-3210M quad core 2.5ghz

8gb Ram

Nvidia Geforce GT630M at 2gb

Win 7 Professional 64bit

Please note that it says my main display when i run dxdiag is the HD4000 Intel. would this be the problem and if so how do i switch it to the external card?

I've uploaded the dxdiag

DxDiag.txt

just had a quick google about and this thread popped up http://forum.techinferno.com/acer/2290-acer-aspire-v3-571g-nvidia-gt630-bios-mod-request.html is yours throttling when it reaches a certain temp you think?

I'm not a laptop user but generally if I have a PC problem I have a google about looking for people with the same problem and how they solved it. Try typing Acer V3-571G and your problem

Is there anyway to change the limit at which it throttles?

No that aint right at all, sorry but if it was me I'd check i put it all together right, with some thermal paste. and check air channels.

Have you built it yourself? or been tweaking it?
