Aditionals mods for playing DayZ (Enhancing perf or experience)

Hello there,

I am playing Dayz with PlayWithSix, and it seems to be many mods available, and i am not sure how this works.

Which ones doesnt change comletely Dayz ? Is there mods that i can install for enhancing my Dayz experience, but keep me playing in Dayz servers ? Like maybe something for perfrmence since i have not a very good PC ?

Be very careful.

Tweak your system yes download fps boosters or other NO (very risky).

Other mods are available, I recommend Wasteland but for this you need to deactivate DayZ.

Few mods (sound/skins etc) are allowed while running DayZ.

There are different builds of DayZ, for example DayZ+ / Namalsk and one or two others.

Once again be careful.

Yeah mate, i am careful since i didnt tried to install anything apart dayz mod so far :)

Dayz+, wasteland, and namalsk are differents "games" right ?

What enhancements (names pls^^) can be installed and still play on official Dayz hive ?

Edit: or maybe there is nothing really significativ and i should keep using vanila Dayz ?

As Boneboys said. Be wary of sites or people offering you software to improve your FPS on DayZ. It's a common method people will use to steal your game key. You could try Gamebooster, it's a quick , free install. It basically shuts down any unnecessary tasks running in the background to free up some CPU usage but the results can be pretty minimal.

Edit - Namalsk is a different map for DayZ whereas Wasteland is a different mod altogether, much like DayZ is a mod in it's own right. If you use DayZCommander (free) it'll show you a list of all of the different maps for DayZ so you won't get confused, it'll also keep all of your DayZ files up to date. I'd recommend it over what you have now as it's designed purely for DayZ and has a nice clean UI.

I beg to differ (because) Namalsk is a modification in its own right, DayZ code has been added to Namalsk rather than Namalsk code being added to DayZ.

Does that make any sense ?

I'm not even sure I'm correct.

Other Islands are just that, Islands, no more, no less.

Yeh your right. I've always considered it as an extra map but it is a mod in its's own right. There's many "extra's" and changes that aren't part of vanilla DayZ where as the other maps, are just different maps with the same DayZ experience.
