Wrong Version?

I just installed this game and got the mod, i followed all the steps on a youtube video on how to download the DayZ mod stuff. When joining a server it says something like im running the wrong version.

Apparently im running 1.7.1.1 and the server is 1.7.0 or something.

Please help!

you need to install the ArmA2 beta patch and run the game with it

download the patch here: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php - the latest one is in the green frame

thanks a ton tomo, im really just stressed out about spawning in the middle of nowhere. ive joined like 20 servers with the same result

maybe you will have to respawn :S it's a known issue

try to search forums for a solution, I think there have been some like "run for 4 hours east" or something, don't know.. never cared about it, only happened to me once and I just killed myself and started over

i killed myself ALOT and found a body with good loot so i took that but i ran east and saw a tree line just now but i got a popup that said "battleye failed to update" and it kicked me from the server
