Just a couple of minor tweaks I'd like to see made to the mod (and hopefully the game), I've suggested them at different intervals over the last 9 months (as well as other people suggesting most of them too) but thought it might be a good time to repost them now as they wont be lost in a sea of posts any more and there are likely to be more community driven development releases of the mod;

- Water canteens. These, in my opinion, should have 2-3 drinks in them, i.e. it should be the same as carrying 3 can, but still only take up one slot. To balance this out they should be a bit more rare and spawn only around military/hunting spawns. Presently they are more of a hassle to get refilled (for a single drink) and not worth the effort as sodas are so easy to find.

- Paper & Pen. The amount of times I'd like to be able to leave a note or a message for other players and not been able to is silly - ok so it's only been a handful of times, but still it would be useful! May not be that popular but I think it would be useful, especially if you're on a clan server and want other clan members know which camps are yours.

- Scavenging Parts fro other vehicles. Just seems like common sense to me that since you can put parts on a vehicle you should be able to take parts off them!

- Vehicle tow/storage - Just as in Wasteland, you should be able to tow vehicles and store small vehicle s(bikes/motor bikes) in the back of bigger vehicles

- Structure building - again as in wasteland this would be a fantastic feature to build structures however they should need individual parts scavenging first rather than ready made large structures.

- Magazines and ammo separate. I dont think this is possible in the current engine but i think you should have to scavenge magazines and ammunition for weapons separately, making it more difficult to source high grade weapons and making you more mindful of how you use them.

- Remove night vision goggles. Not going to be popular but I remember playing the mod when it was first released and you were forced to play on night servers, this was fun as everyone was at the same level in the dark. I think leaving the range finders and night vision scopes in is fine as there are limitations to these and they work better as a compromise .

- Start with no back pack. Add extra storage that can be combined (Czech vest +back pack, add drop leg pouches etc).

- Add helmets/hats/Crash helmets

- More player skins that spawn in the same way as camo and chilli suits.

- More breakable bones. The engine is supposed to be capable of dealing with nearly every bone in the body of the characters, this should be used in a better injury system. For example, shooting someone in the arm would break it and not allow them to use their weapon.

- Head torches.

- Make matches have a set number of uses

- Molotovs cocktails

- Add cigarettes/alcohol as a means of slightly increasing humanity (sharing with other survivors to signify "friendlies")

- Add Caravettes (RV's)

- Mortars would be nice, only available from military loot.

- Fishing rods (for sourcing food from the sea)

- Camo netting

- baseball bats, hammers, knight sticks etc - used for breaking bones or stunning players

- Stun grenades and zip ties. For stunning players and restraining them for limited periods of time

All good, but i'm not liking spawning with ghillie and camo.

I wasnt suggesting spawning with camo or Ghillis, I was suggesting MORE clothings available.

Also the caravan is an RV, a motorised caravan, not a trailer caravan, although that might be useful as more versatile alternative to a tent.

I like your ideas, but shareing cigarettes/alcohol to improv freanship sounds like you encurage people to drink and smoke, not the best idea, but shareing a cola, food could be an option.

I also like your stun ideas useing stungrenades, night stick, sounds realy cool, all thats left are a couple of handcuffs to restrain the stunned person and your a fully pledge cop :D

But handcuffs would also be nice, stun a person and cuffing him, makeing it possible to loot his inventory and backpack without killing, no rkilling, no risk for becomeing a bandit.

The mortar might be a bit overkill, but would be fun in combining dayz with wasteland building system is also an awsome idea, so does the diffrent backpack system.

Bu the fishing rod is still the best, a new way of geting food, loveing it :)

maybe some of you noticed...dayz+ an offshot from dayz has this implemented and it is real fun! really a must for the SA!

I personally dont like the idea of a fishing rod, unless there is a chance you have to wait a very long time for fish, you have a chance of losing bait and you can catch unedible fish, making it more of a gamble than an easy alternative to scouting for beans. As this is the suggestions forum I would like to see being able to setup a rod and leaving it for hours before you can harvest it making it a lot more risky and giving the potential for theifs to steal your fish.
