theirongiant 200 Posted January 16, 2013 Find myself having to aim at zombies feet at a close/medium distance if I want to get headshots, is it zeroed at a particular range?
Jakalanche 3 Posted January 16, 2013 Is that an overexaggeration or are you serious? Sometimes I find that when I shoot in third person and its at close quarters it does this a bit for any weapon. You should got to first person if you want the most accuracy, or just aim down your sight. If none of this helps I can only suggest... not to go into close quarters with zombies! Avoid it at all costs. Afterall, Zombies kill people, fact of life.
theirongiant 200 Posted January 16, 2013 No exaggeration, with the red dot sight in first person at ranges of I'd say 50-100 metres I'm aiming at the knees to get headshots. Obviously at real close ranges it doesn't affect it but when there is a bit of distance the deviation seems quite extreme.
theirongiant 200 Posted January 16, 2013 My mistake, it's the M4A3 CCO - http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/M4A3_CCOWhen loaded with STANAG SD Mag the red dot sight is not accurate, so shots fired go higher than the sight shows.

-Gews- 7443 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) I tried it in the Editor. With the M4A1 CCO, it shot to point of aim from 0-200m. With the M4A3 CCO, I had the same results. I even tried it with the M16A2 and nothing changed...Edit: ah, I see. Edited January 16, 2013 by Gews
guisho 258 Posted January 16, 2013 I got pretty angry about that until I found the reason.
