Arma 2 not working

I'v baught arma 2 combined ops installed arma 2 and arma 2 operation arrowhead but then when I tried to run arma 2 for the first time It said downloading direct x and that did its thing then downloaded battleeye and done with taht then it says prepairing to launch and emediatly closes and same with operation arrowhead I have dx11 but I don't know if I have dx 9 I tried to download 9.0c and it says a newer dx is already here something like that and that it doesnt need to install Please please help me I baught the games and I want to play dayz naoo.thanks in advance.

what versions of the game do you have and where did you get them from

i got mine from steam store, and oa doesnt work

close steam

start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator)

right click on arma2 and properties then local files

click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice

and do the same for arma2 oa

run arma2 to the menu

run arma2 oa to the menu

click in expansions

make sure the following are enabled

arma2

arma2 oa

arma2 baf lite

arma2 pmc lite

if not enable them and restart then exit the game

when I try to verify both games all it does is sits on the screen at 0% even after a hour

One at a time, IIRC.

Install Arma II, update if required by Steam...Start-Up in and set options. Quit.

Install Arma II AO, repeat as above.

Though older, read-up on Steam overlay and beta.exe's

Install your DayZ Server Brower of choice and ensure correct paths to your Arma II&AO Install, as well mod folders.
