FPS Drops (Probably the 1000th thread.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry that you have to read another thread about FPS drops but I really need some help. I read google over and over. I have some insane FPS drops. When I'm not near the cities I have kind of a decent FPS (40).

But as soon as I'm in a city like Cherno or Elektro my FPS drops to 13 sometimes. I lowered all my graphics ingame and went to my documents to do this:

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

I still have the lags. I went to canyourunit to check my performance (I know, not the best way to test it). I pass the recommendations easily. These are my specs:

Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz

Cpu speed: 2.3 GHz

Ram: 6.2 GB

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (Too old perhaps??)

Is there anyone who can help me? I don't have a lot of money at the moment so I hope that I can fix some things without having to buy anything.

Thanks in advance.

Ah I see, do I have to buy the game again when it comes out? Or will it be free since I have arma combined operations?

Hello there

The stand alone is an entirely separate game which is nothing to do with Arma2.

You will either have to play the free mod or buy the new game.

FPS drops are common for many in the cities.

Off topic but do you really actually type those last sentences in every one of your posts? doesn't it get bloody annoying?

On topic, it definitely is your intel core 2, what exactly is your graphics card?

Though "older" these topics provide ace-material that, hopefully 'turbo-charge' your V-Twin ;)
