I once rescued a freshly spawned player from an antagonizing bandit. He had a gun to his head in the Elektro store. I came up behind him with a makarov and put 5 rounds in the back of his head. Gave the unarmed player the makarov and some rations and escorted him to a safer area.

Saving my friends from a sniper in the supermarket in Elektro, just distracted him by shooting towards where the sound was coming from, once he started shooting me back I told them to run out and stay in cover, I had already looted the hospital so had all the medical supplies I needed to heal them, I got my hero skin that day.

Well I dont kill on sight, except for bandit skins. Unless they shoot at me or another player for no good reason (like killing new spawns)

So pretty much only take out bandits, everyone else gets the benefit of the doubt

But you ill let my video do all the talking, its from a while back when I spent a few days keeping some of the main cities safe from bandits and helping people out who needed it:

It was on Pathera, above Asabana Army Base. A helicopter exploded. I had bloodbags, thank fully, and healed about five people up. We went north in a bus together, looting a couple of heli wrecks near eastern airfield.

I'll share one. I was playing solo, I normally do not do this because I am a very paranoid person. I was near balota and I see a squad of guys sneaking around by the hangars. (This was a custom map so Balota had barracks) I am prone in trees watching these guys letting them loot and get out of there. Next thing I know I hear a sniper shifting trying to get better eyes on the survivors trying to loot. I thought about just getting up and running away. I did not want to risk death. I started thinking these guys will get killed. I quickly popped off a few shots near the survivors looting to get them running so the sniper can't shoot them. I flank around the sniper and kill him. The survivors got out of there, and I left with a nice DMR. I told the survivors what happened and they thanked me. This was one of the best moments in Day Z.

Today I found a (freshly spawned?) survivor in Elektro who had fainted out in the hospital and was bleeding. Patched her up and gave her a Ghillie suit, a revolver, food & drink, morphine, etc etc I had found just minutes earlier. After that I told her to head straight to the woods and seems like she made it there because her name didn't pop up in the killfeed.

Good deed of the day - check! :)

On our servers we have contracts that can be posted on our forums for help, fully aware that others may view it we have to act fast. 2235 hours NWUS time zone, a distress call came through for a survivor bearing broken leg North of Stary. No exact grid just a general idea where he was. The Feathermen and I fired up the huey loaded our weapons for contact and headed south to his location. The huey rumbled as we edged over the hillsides hugging tight all of us eager to assist as we covered the 10k to arrive on location. The huey bolted a fly by and the survivor tossed a flare on his location. Within seconds of the flare the North East forest began to erupt with muzzle flashes. Mission change it is now a CSAR (combat search and rescue) operation. Side channel became steepend with fear as he struggled to find cover and we circled back. 2 Feathers and I bail on the second approach landing to the North west corner of the field and split into sectors within seconds to cover the survivor, whilst returning fire to the hillside. Op Pinned down now was our chance, the survivor was bleeding without bandage at this point and wedged under a tree I dragged him out and started to patched him up as the rifles roared to my corners suppressing the opposition. I viewed the skyline to see another Feather parachute behind the trees. Flanking hard while we worked I see three names pop up killed. Non of my guys were good, The huey pulls around again holding suppression with the mounted while comms remain hot on location. We pop smoke to the south west and meet for extraction with the survivor. The Lone wolf Feather has already done his work and headed North for his pick up by kabanino. The huey slams down hard and we load in everyone glaring with excitement. Touch off, move North East and pick up the lone wolf, our job is done we leg it out to Berenzino where we gear up the survivor and send him on his way. Another Feathermen Op completed without loss.

Here is a video of my guys working a few weeks later without opposition-

Mine wasn't great but it was one of my most successful. I decided to take my Hilux and a spare Alice pack and fill it with an M16, compass, matches, a hunting knife, etc. and drive along the coast looking for folks to help. I started from the Krustoy Cap and made my way west along the coast, driving straight through Cherno and Elektro. Along the way a dude with an axe that I offered a ride tried to slash my tires, then steal my truck.

I killed him, unfortunately.

The next fellow I encountered did not even interact with me, he just unloaded a Makarov clip at my truck from the side of the road. Needless to say, I kept going. Finally I was passing the Balota outpost and heard a fellow asking for a ride. I helped him out of the military outpost, and gave him a ride to Zelenogorsk supermarket. I gave him the Alice and the gun, and after a brief trip to my campsite, gave his buddy my M4 and some spare survival stuff.

They told me I was the nicest player they've ever met, and assumed that, because I was so nice, that I was British. Because British people are nice...? But anyway it warmed my fuzzy heart and now I'm gearing up to help some other fellas, if I can. Hopefully they break their legs on the way to my car...

I could use a hero skin. I wish you could get humanity for "gifting" something to someone. I was gonna give them my truck and a ghillie but I lost them after awhile.

Me and a friend were scoping out this guy on the big industrial chimney just outside of Electro, he had an AK and was looking at electro through his binocs. Wasn't a bandit but we were watching him to see what he did. Ended up rolling off the top and commited suicide. We went over and defended his body, another guy came over and was trying to steal his stuff, i knocked him unconcious with a shot to the stomach and told him not to steal the stuff. He woke up and ran off.

Not long after the original guy who had died came back and we told him to get his stuff but he just ran off.. Was kind of strange.
