I'm obsessed with gaming and am looking to find a way to make a living in the gaming atmosphere. Wish me luck, and see you in hell (Chernabarus).

  • Bio
I am a nineteen year old undergrad studying in Chicago. I play video games for hours on end and love immersion, roleplaying, great storylines, and investment type gaming.

I'm currently studying psychology and art and am poking around in software development for video game design. Feel free to chat/message me.
  1. We've got group management installed now as well! The AI are incredibly challenging. Anyone looking for a fresh start can find a fun one here. We're bringing back the challenge to DayZ. My ass hasn't clenched up this tight playing this game in ages.
  2. One of Epoch's top militarized servers is back! 198.154.118.36:5301 Hop onto your DayZ Launcher or Commander and look up the "WMG Militarized Epoch" server. This custom developed server comes with a list of features that brings back the tension of good ol' DayZ survival and combat, with its own explosive end-game. This is the best platform for group combat you'll find anywhere, and it's constantly being developed for balance, fun, and great stories to be made by anyone who hops on. Prepare for a challenge and a rush of adrenaline when you load in. WMG brings to you: Supervised administrators for quality help and fair play. An updated vendor's list that Epoch has been waiting for. The most epic PvP this playerbase has seen since Overwatch. An eye for balance between game-changing features and server performance. Challenging AI to keep you on your toes. Custom scripting and development. A crazy vehicle spawn list. Terrifying nights. Hop on quick before the launch kicks in for a headstart on the competition! Ask our admins about group stimulus packages to encourage new groups to join, and we are always looking for supporters to help us bring the best experience possible to the DayZ community. We make what we enjoy, and we know you'll love it too. Hop in and buckle up for the biggest, baddest server out there!
  3. I wouldn't recommend this to a roleplayer. It's a great private hive though. For just generic DayZ play, I'd highly recommend it.
  4. We've greatly increased in numbers and influence since our last update. We are at war with the prominent bandit clan on the server as they raid our operation frequently. All role players are invited to the server and to apply to the Injected.

Arma 2 Mission Editor: How do I load the DayZ map?

I loaded the DayZ_1 mission folder into Chernarus, but when I place a survivor player and press preview, the loading bar either stays empty or gets stuck along the way.
  6. I'm playing around with the Arma 2 Mission Editor to make some videos, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to load in the DayZ map, with all roadblocks, military camps, and bodies included. Does anybody have any idea how I can achieve this, or where I could learn?
  7. Server Info: DayZRP.com The server this clan calls home is a high traffic, whitelist roleplaying server. It has a no KoS rule to encourage player interaction. (then you can kill people if it's in character) Within the next few weeks they are overhauling the server with a custom mod, which includes realistic loot tables, many more vehicles and skins, ACRE mod, other clan features, and more. It is a well admin-ed community that accepts all skill levels, so long as you roleplay well. The whitelisting application requires a backstory, and hackers are virtually unseen. It's the best community I've ever found in DayZ.
  8. Let the other groups combat each other in moral and political conflict. Civilization is gone. The governments, the churches, and the armies fell with it. However, a few things remained: supply, demand, and truckloads of opiates. Rules 1. Do not be hostile unless provoked. We are not thieves or murderers, we are businessmen. Be respectful and civilized. 2. Do not betray The Client or the Injected. 3. Abide all server rules. 4. Stay in character. Those that break our rules will have their belongings destroyed and they will be reverted to the trial status. If they break another rule during this trial, or go too long without appeasing the incident, their status, or the Injected image they've likely tainted, they will be executed and removed from all records. Communication -When speaking in Direct Chat, always be in character. -Consider TeamSpeak a radio channel among associates, use it to contact associates who are not with you. -Use TeamSpeak for out-of-character concerns. -Say "Break" to clear comms for important messages. -We will practice comms discipline in combat situations. Associates and Clients The Employer The Veteran (anfauglir) The Bookkeeper (Murray) Thorgis, "The Armorer" Hawky Alistratov, "The Prophet" DunnZ Jerry El Cid [T] Seiler [T] Rel [T] The Outpost Rangers Chernarussian Liberation Front Blue Sector Injected Operational Territory The area highlighted above is off limits to all. Any trespassers will be punished accordingly. We allow travelers access to the highways, and clients will have certain privileges. In Development: 1. Episodic series about the roleplaying background of the Employer, the Injected, and the Client. 2. Signature template customized for each member.
  9. In Chernarus, my favorite place to camp is at this circle of benches and outhouse in the middle of the woods that I found. It's perfect, it's homey, gives you something special about your campsite, and you can get inside the outhouse. It's amazing. It also hasn't been been found after two weeks. Unfortunately I'd like to move a bit farther North. Does anybody know of any other camp sites like this that are built into chernarus? Like circles of benches, wells, or whatever, in the middle of the woods. I prefer coolness of a spot over the stealth of the spot. Any ideas? Pics or coordinates are appreciated.
  10. I'm looking for a hero/survivor or a couple of such individuals to play with, help survivors, and progress in my favorite private hive. I want to do things like be a medic, fortify a town, etc. but these are difficult in a hostile server while lone-wolfing. Preferences: US (I'm central time zone) Good sport Fair player Mature and 18+ Have Skype/TS3 Day Z Experience Good mic

    My encounter with misled heroes..

That's why I'm trying to get into the DayZ RP server whitelist. They require interaction before combat so that intentions are clearly stated and roles played out. If you are a Russian special ops team sent to recover intel from the zombie infested Soviet-state of Chernarus, you cannot just KOS. You have to hold them up, tell them to leave or be shot, etc. Clans lay claim to certain areas, fight constantly, interact with people instead of making assumptions and shooting everyone on sight. Should lead to many many more interesting encounters than just a 28 minute run North before a You Are Dead screen and 6 DMR cracks echo across the rolling hills.
  12. I was browsing private hives, and came across one with the settings I enjoy, and decided to give it a shot. It had no side chat, which is an immediate great first impression for me. I spawned in Kamenka, and despite popular consensus, I love spawning there. I hit up 4-5 deer stands on my way up north through Zelenogorsk and Pustoshka, checking for vehicles along the way. I was passing through the Zelenogorsk supermarket at dusk, picking up a crossbow (finally, a primary!) and some watches, of course. As I was sorting my inventory, I heard the low rumble of a car engine from the west in between zombie grunts. I was crouched in the supermarket and decided to stay in there, hoping that whoever it was would simply pass on through. This was not the case. A GAZ rolls down the road to the supermarket from the North, and drives past the front door and into the parking lot. It turns around, points towards the large windows of the supermarket, and shines the headlights into the supermarket. I was aiming at the car, waiting for people to get out. I said "If you drop your guns we can be friends. I've got more cover than you. Think about this." And from behind me I hear "I thought about it. I'm going to stick with the initial plan." I freelooked behind be to see a survivor pointing an AK at my back from the back room. He told me to "Drop your gun and we can be friends." I chuckled a bit and complied. He then ordered me to get into the car. Once I was in the back seat, the gunman got into the car and we started to drive off. The driver said "This one must be new." The gunman asked "How do you know that?" "Because he hasn't got shit all over him." I chuckled at the reference, and realized how well it applied to the situation. "These might be roleplayers." I thought. They drove me out to the two barns west of Zelenogorsk, and got out in between them. "Get out of the car and head into the barn." "Why, what are you guys going to do to me?" I wondered, while reminiscing of all the interesting hostage situations I watch on YouTube. "It's just a little experiment." I walked into the barn a little confused and saw a ring of wire kits set up, with a tank trap opening. "We're studying the infection to find a cure. You're going to make a huge impact on the future good of the human race. What's left of it, that is. Now, if you would, please, get into the ring. It's for your and our protection." I walked in, judging the guy's friendly tone as one that didn't mean any harm. I stood in the middle and the driver lit a road flare and threw it at my feet, and he and the gunman ran to the opposite side of the barn. "What are you guys going to do?" They took a second and said "Save humanity, of course! But the first thing we must understand is how the infection works, and how a person "turns". One must know one's enemy." Almost on queue, zombies from outside were walking towards the flare and into the ring with me. "Guys? Can you shoot this zombie for me?" The gunman ran over to the entrance, and placed a tank trap blocking me and the zombies in. "I will in a minute. Now please, there's no way out, just accept your fate and know that your role is important in saving the human race." The zombies started tearing me apart and I begged "What the fuck guys! This is sick, let me out!" The zombies tore into me and as I lay knocked out, bleeding rapidly towards death, they tried to console me saying "Don't worry, we will end your misery shortly, we only need to witness what happens after the initial death." I bled out, and was greeted with the "You are dead!" screen. I wasn't even mad...I was just impressed!

    Hero Stories *POST HERE*

Mine wasn't great but it was one of my most successful. I decided to take my Hilux and a spare Alice pack and fill it with an M16, compass, matches, a hunting knife, etc. and drive along the coast looking for folks to help. I started from the Krustoy Cap and made my way west along the coast, driving straight through Cherno and Elektro. Along the way a dude with an axe that I offered a ride tried to slash my tires, then steal my truck. I killed him, unfortunately. The next fellow I encountered did not even interact with me, he just unloaded a Makarov clip at my truck from the side of the road. Needless to say, I kept going. Finally I was passing the Balota outpost and heard a fellow asking for a ride. I helped him out of the military outpost, and gave him a ride to Zelenogorsk supermarket. I gave him the Alice and the gun, and after a brief trip to my campsite, gave his buddy my M4 and some spare survival stuff. They told me I was the nicest player they've ever met, and assumed that, because I was so nice, that I was British. Because British people are nice...? But anyway it warmed my fuzzy heart and now I'm gearing up to help some other fellas, if I can. Hopefully they break their legs on the way to my car... I could use a hero skin. I wish you could get humanity for "gifting" something to someone. I was gonna give them my truck and a ghillie but I lost them after awhile.
