best way to team up ??

I have been playing for 3 weeks now and after being shot on sight AGAIN i am relay starting to get bored with this game

i love having bandits and firefights but as i have spent most of my time playing alone i am getting killed constantly my ppl for no reason

I have met 7 friendly people on 4 occasions and on 1 of them we teamed up and this was the most fun I have had on this game

so whats the best way to put together a team

i was thinking of joining a clan but the clan i want to join server gets dark at 5pm and if often quite empty in the day

or should I try to put together/join a team/group on here

my preference would be to play with steam friends but thats kind of hard until the SA comes out and the overlay works

or should i just say f it and play as a bandit until SA i have wanted to play as a hero but that just keeps getting me shot all the time

and how do you put together a team in game cos

noone ever says friendly

I know loads of my friends will play the SA but none of them would buy arma 2 for a mod this close to SA release

once SA cames out i will be sitting pretty

Still trying to get into the groove and get some trusted people I can run with. Only clan I've been part of doesn't really play dayz anymore, moved on to darkfall or some bullshit so nobody to run with there. I've had the same problem though. I very rarely run into anyone friendly and spend 98% of my game time alone or hiding. while I'm quite willing to make my own entertainment (My first login ever I got lost in the woods and fell out of a deer stand, had to crawl halfway across the map to the coast and crawl along the road to find a town), I'd much prefer having at least one or two other people to run with.

Yeah this is my problem with playing alone, if you break your leg without morphine you're really screwed. And of course really the only place you're likely to find morphine is in a hospital in a city and you'll probably die in there trying to get it. It also sucks that you can't use bloodbags yourself, I realize that you can eat meat to regen your blood but I've sometimes found it really hard to find matches. I'd love to play with other people too but finding them is impossible, you can almost forget about finding a random person on a server, you have to have friends who play the game. Almost none of my friends play PC games, only console.

Actually it'd be pretty cool in the standalone if there was some kind of Battlefield type squad option for those people who do want to team up. That way at least like minded people can find each other, you could create a squad for your friends or join a random one. If you join a squad you are kind of indicating that you do want to play as a team, although obviously that could still be abused. But then that also adds to the excitement.

I played it months ago, and the spawning point for my friend and I was rediculously far away form eachother, I've not even met a friendly yet :(

simple if they shoot u shoot 2 (if no weapon = run like hell...)

if they doing the friendly thing waving with the upper body from left to right they can be friendly (not so common)

or u ask them via voice chat, but dont trust anyone keep ur eyes open every second...
