DayZ score-buying items with it

Hello, i really enjoy this mod and must say its pretty good for alpha stage, BUT :)

| I find it like its missing the point killing zombies you encouter while you can easily avoid them, and save your ammo only for kiling human players, zombie kills must have a purpose and I mabye have solution for it...|

- Score that you are getting by kiling zombies are avaible as purchase points in all big cities (mabye something like trading post) buying gear, vehicles, custom outfit, etc...

( I have 500 score kills, i got to shop in zelenogorsk and buy from "computer terminal" a car which costs 80 kill points KP, handgun 15 KP, assault rifle with attached flaslight 400 KP etc...)

I must say that in shoop items must be very expensive and that way people will still be exploring but sometime also buy uniqe item from shop thats very hard to find in world...

-Side missions,

clear the village from zombies- (BONUS) without losing any health.

deliver a pacakage to balota airfield control tower

etc... dont know :P

-Random AIR DROPS from c-130 (very rare) - emergency broadcast message to all players with Coordinats of paradrop full of suplies, (10014°-00244° SOS suplies- red flashing beacon attached on it for better spoting).this means more PvP and struggle for it, who comes first gets all ) :)

feel free to coment and express your thoughts about possible problems about my sugestions :)

I don't think you should be able to buy things through a computer terminal with some kind of score. Everyone's dead, after all. I think that all trading should be between players, only.

I kind of liked the air drop thing, but it should be very rare. Like once a week or something.

I understand that world is in mess, but hey not everyone is dead :P

Sure there is some people that are wokring on junkyard(shops) and colecting all crap they can get and selling around, ( if not score point why not make money and put ingame thats also option)...

I sugested computer terminal becouse I remember in fallout3 if ya played it there are vending machines where you can buy all things you need, its much simpler than puting AI behind shelf and making him invicible and who knows what else problems may come with it, so make vending machines where you can buy suplies... :)

Trading between players would be difficult to achive becouse many will lure and behave "friendly" and when they are close they will instantly kill you thats for sure....

To me, Day Z is aimed at realism, and computer terminals spitting out needed items is not realistic (at least not yet, ask me in 20 years.) But I think AI vendors would be a cool idea, unfortunately, there is no way to add that when there are no real "safe" places.

Maybe add some house or building that would be easily recognizable and there would not be real AI or anything, just approach the doors and there would be buying menu options (the guy is behind the doors and pushes items through little hole in door giving to players)...

And also make big glowing sign on that house/building "GUNS AND AMMO"...

For realism sake it would have to be blood or tissue samples collected from zeds.

How the scientists collect it is another large problem. You can't have AI guarded areas and you can't have weapons free areas because both are a creative PK's wet dream.

My solution would be once a player collects XXX samples they can create a crate in a large open area. At 6am the next morning that crate will be converted into a crate of random military supplies. This would be to simulate a helicopter arriving and swapping the goods.

Eventually it would be cool to actually have an invincible helicopter arrive and hover for a minute over the crate at 6am for visual and gameplay awesomeness.

Edit: A specific time like 6am may not be such a great idea. But you get the gist, players should have to guard their crate for a certain amount of time.

It would promote the kind of mechanic in MMOs known as farming, where people could simply PvE their way to decent weaponry in a far off corner of the map, rather than having to possibly encounter players.

Yeah right now surviving is almost meaningless, so few actually bother with it.

I think being rewarded for reaching 500/1500/2000 zombie kills is a good idea, however not in the form of weapons, but other more realistic stuff. The devs have already mentioned a perk system is in the making, so you'll probably get some survival incentive+reward out of that.

In a game with limited ammunition and enemies that only spawn in decent numbers in towns I hardly see how farming or avoiding players could become a problem. When I mention 'XXX' number of zombies I did mean well into the hundreds.

Nope. Seems like a sly way of asking for PvE.

Any type of score based system is awful for this type of game.

Want more stuff? Take a risk and find more, or take a bigger risk and kill for it.

I think this would totaly not fit the mod. For me there is no problem with ammo at all. You can find Winchester everywhere so if I grind some zombies in a town I never come out with less ammo. So I just kill the Zombies for the lulz. Just fire a shot with the cz550 in polanas store. It will be hell of fun to survive the horde :D. And I dont think that you should get bonus stuff for killing zombies, now they give you loot which contains food and sometimes ammo. If you want or need higher tier stuff go for the military camps.
