Using a new, vailed CD key (steam)

Hello, my old CD Key was stolen. Bohemia interactive gave me a new one and now I don't know how to use it.

How can I change my CD key? they said I need a new steam acc, and I probably need a NEW copy of OA for it.

Is there a way to use the CD key without buying the game again?

I don't understand? If you have a new key, the point of that would be that you don't need to buy the game again, when you buy the game you are effectively buying a new key. Can you clarify the issue please?

Well, I got an EMail from them. they gave me a new key, and told me to make a new steam acc because I can't change the CD Key in my old steam acc. but, I can't run the game from the new steam acc without buying the game again. Right?

no if its a steamworks key you just add it to your new steam account once you run each game to the menus you can go back to your old steam account using the new key from the reg

you may wanna clean your pc for viruses and malware first before doing this tho otherwise it will get stolen again

Wait, I don't understand what your'e saying. I have to run the games from the new one(Right?) and thats the problam! and, can you give me a program name or a download link? thx!

first remove what ever stole your key in the first place

then

make a new steam account

start steam in admin mode right click and run as administrator

click the arrow at the bottom and activate a game on steam

put your new key in there

if they have given you a steamworks key it will activate that new key with steam

play the game to the menu this will put the new cd key in your registry

after this you can log into your old account to play if you like and it will play with the new key unless you run steam as admin again
