Dayz Commander won't let me download the additional maps?

Recommended Posts

This is my lil red caution error message after trying to install a additional map on the dayz commander.

Image in server selection in game after trying to join a namelsk server. It kicks me and gives me this message at the bottom in greayish lettering.

My guess is open A2:OA and enable the mod. When I play Namalsk is in expansions but not enabled. Some serious shit goes down with Dayz/DZC and A2. Cant explain it. Think Matt Lightfoot is disconnecting things secretly when no one is looking.

FWIW -=- Earlier I couldnt play A2 mods(not fuckign DayZ) beause a filter i usually use <100ping made every game disappear. Try clearing a filter to Default until results are found, then edit it to your preferences. It worked for me....but that was an OA MOD.

EDIT -=- I am hammered and cant type but my suggestion remains valid.

IS DAYZC UP TO DATE?

MANUALLY UPDATE A2OA

REINSTALL MODS

REMOVE MODS then REINSTALL THEM(via C:Prog/Steam/Common/A2) etc. Remove that shit then reinstall!

I've tried that :(

I also think i deleted the namalsk map twice and re-downloaded it twice in my directory until the dayz commander finally decided to fully download it....just a suggestion tough if you want to try it.

Hey i have the same problem after ages of researching i have come to the conclusion that a Port is blocked (port 80) which dayZ commander uses to download its maps through now when i launch dayZ no servers show up and i cant download any of the maps not even the mod dayz i had to get it through steam

i have tried  so many things but i cant seem to unblock port 80

Does it say anything when you mouse over the red triangle?

  • Check DayZCommander is allowed through your window firewall.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/allow-a-program-to-communicate-through-windows-firewall

If that doesn't work:

  • Try flushing your DNS (Start > Command Prompt > Type: Ipconfig /flushdns)
If that doesn't work:

  • Change your DNS settings to either Google's or OpenDNS, instructions for each are below:

Can you access http://cdn.dayz.st/dayzcommander in your browser?

I'm not sure what else to try tbh, can you post a screenshot of your settings tab in DayZCommander btw?

I notice both you and someone else with the same issue are both using D: drive for your installations, I'm not sure why this would cause an issue but maybe DayZCommander is having trouble finding your game installs for some reason, you could try manually overriding the auto detected installation paths or even installing the game on your primary drive and seeing if it still occurs.

arma 2 combined operations because my steam folder is around 100gb and my C driver is only got 10gb because i made it so window has its own drive but yes maybe that is the problem how would i fix it

and what do you mean manually overiding the auto detected installations paths  ? i checked the override box but the thing is there in the right directory.

I'm not sure if you can without reinstalling windows. I don't even know why that would cause a problem tbh. It was just an observation. Two people using D: drive and both have the same issue :/

I meant check maybe in case there is an issue with the directory path being case sensitive or something. I'm not sure if it matters though. c:\program files (x86) or C:\Program Files (x86) as an example, I'd just copy and paste from the address bar in windows to be sure rather then letting DayZCommander auto detect.

I'm out of ideas then, have you tried using http://play.withsix.com/ or playing directly via ArmA OA just adding -mod=@DayZ to the launch options?
