Make zombies better

Recommended Posts

Please make Zombies stronger!

Right now you can just stand in a bush and you will be alright.

Zombies right now is just a small annoyance. They are NOT scary at all.

The zombies doesn't seem to mind me shooting on them or other players.

Suggestions:

* Add a timer to agro zombies so that they will hunt/look for you at least 5 minute before giving up.

* Increase zombies hearing distance for gun shots.

Try DayZ +. One of its big selling points is tougher Zombies. I haven't played it yet but a friend of mine who has says that you got to be really stealthy and that zombies are a big threat. Right now the biggest threat is when they knock you unconscious.

You should try DayZ+ for a more hardcore experience untill the standalone comes out, the zombies are a lot harder you can be killed in 6 hits from one.

Also some features in DayZ+ that the majority of the community like could be in the standalone such as the construction of bases/defensive positions and the extra weapons. Theres no AS50 or M107 there either and i think the CZ 550 has a higher chance of spawning

I always fringe when someone says "make zombies stronger" because it misses a huge point about them, which is; Melee attacks in a modded military simulation. Just by understanding how the hatchet works should really explain to everyone how misplaced melee weapon mechanics are in this game. It was never designed to have such things. That's why zombies hit through walls and floors and can't hit you when you're in a bush or within a helicopters rotor. So DayZ+ just tunes the numbers to provide a different kind of effect, but then provides additional problems to players when zombies glitch through the ground for example. Or warp 10 meters to melee hit players.

Making zombies hit harder just causes an increase in random glitchy deaths and makes game sessions dispensable, rather than providing survival challenges. The goal with the Standalone seems to remedy this in a constructive way, rather than just band-aiding some unworkable tweaks to the mix.

It's not an improvement in my opinion to just "make zombies stronger"

The suggestion has nothing about zombies hitting harder. Getting randomly punched to the ground is just annoying. Please read the whole post. And then analyze.

That's cute, you don't bother reading my whole text, but then nitpick one sentence from it that doesn't even refer to your post and accuse me of not reading your post.

You're stupid and your post is stupid, you should feel bad. Happy now?

fix how jumpy and glitchy they are first before making them stronger. Its hard to kill a zed that lauches four feet to your right through a wall then appears besides you where a unopenable door is.

You should've made the topic: make zombies harder. A lot of people seem to misread your post, since you never said anything about increasing the damage a zombie does.

They're going to improve the mechanics on Standalone so you don't have to worry about it.
