Dayz cant recognize that I have installed and played both Arma 2 and OA. I have bought Arma 2 combined operations on a disk from EB Games. When I launch Dayzcommander and click on a server it will come up with a message saying ''There was an error launching Arma 2 with Dayz. Please check your settings, verify your game directories and try again.

Details: cannot start process because a file name has not been provided.''

please if anyone kows how I can fix this, please let me know!!

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I was told that you had to download it, not use a disk. Probably the same.

I've only used Commander a few times but it sounds like you don't have it configured correctly and it's looking for the Arma 2 install in the wrong location.

If I remember correctly, you need to tell Commander exactly where Arma 2 is installed if it doesn't detect it by itself.

thankyou jblackrupert I did exactly what you said and it worked!! but I only got to play for one and a half hours then it closed off and now when I try to launch dayzcommander again it comes up with a message that will take me forever to type so I have a picture in the attachment, could anyone suggest another way to get dayz to work or a way to fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

since Dayz commander stuffed up I installed play with six and it worked fine untill I joined a server, it glitched out so much there is a white background with an orande button in the middle and dayz written in the top left corner. does nyone know what has happened or how to fix it?

I am happy to give more details about this if it is needed.

have you updated both arma2 to patch 1.11 and arma2 to 1.62 and then installing the beta on top of that

if you start up both games normally it should give you version numbers in the bottom corners or you can just download them and install them most people just update arma oa forget that dayz uses amra 2 assets
