I cannot join any server.

Hello, I have just installed the Day Z mod using the PlayWithSix application. When I try to join any server using that application the game runs just fine, but when I try to join any server by launching the game from Steam I get this error.

player -name- connect

player -name- uses modified game data

you cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on donwloadable content that has been deleted.chernarus; caweapons.ammoboxes; CAWater; cawater2_fishing_boat.

Some server do let me play, but not all of them. If some of you have encountered and know what to do, please help me.

You are missing files. Some servers have custom content. You need to ask that admin what you need or Google it. It may just be as simple as you are trying to connect to say... the Taviana map when you don't have the files or dont have it activated in the expansion menu

I have tried to re-donwload and instal the game without installing the DayZ mod and it says the same thing. If I manage to make it work I will come back with an answer(probably not).

Have you installed all the beta patches? you need to start the exe located in "Program Files (x86)\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" and not the arma2.exe or arma2oa.exe in the root directory. Also make sure the "@dayz" is checked in the expansion section of the main menu
