5-10 fps, high end computer, please help

My computer runs other games great.

It's not any servers in particular, it's EVERY SINGLE SERVER I join, even with 30 or below ping

I put all the settings down to the lowest I could go, I know which ones to disable or put as default as i've seen many videos on it

Can't be my connection, i'm running CS and Battlefield perfectly, my playstation's connection is also great

I just don't know what to do. Every server is unplayable for me (Yes they're in my region), can't aim or anything. I was following a friend for miles and he turned around and went the other way and said he 'saw me standing still looking at the ground' even though I had been running circles around him at that time too, but I think that's desync or something, it doesnt happen a lot. I get 3 fps in cities and that's plain ridiculous now...can anyone help me?

Dayz is a pretty cpu stressing game, so running it on a non quad core cpu will tax it hard.

Other than that man I'm not really sure...

A thousand bucks will get you anything from a crappy setup (if you buy a complete system) to a good one (if you build it yourself). So it really isn't enough for us to go on...

- Can't be my connection, Again, connection doesn't affect FPS. And even with a perfect connection, the server itself will sometimes have desync.

You implied, though, that a high ping could cause performance lag in your game. This isn't a wise thing as it will bring people like me to ridicule your logic and correct and educate you to no end.

And because of the fact that you are on the DayZ forums, talking about DayZ, there is no point whatsoever to mention your Playstation. At all. Just because your Playstation is connected right, doesn't mean your computer will work better or is connected at all.

Just trowing it out there .

Arma2 has the worst performance engine from all games!!

I bought the gtx680 last week and when i put everything to highest setting i get 20-30 fps in a bit of crouded area in normal area's i'm on 60-70

So just saying it's mosth likely not your pc but its just the game.

Just hope they fix this with the standalone.

PS: Making your topic name " high end computer" and then saying it costed 1000$ makes many people just laugh.., even that we don't know your spec's yet i can allready say you're nowhere near a highend computer.

It really depends on how good you are at getting the most out of your money. I can build a high end PC with 1000€ and since most prices are converted 1:1 $1000 shouldn't be a problem ;)

So what are your specs Ranger?

amd e1-1200 accelerated processor

4gb ddr3 system memory

500gb hd

wireless lan 802.11 b/g/n single-band (2.4 ghz) 1x1

amd radeon hd 7310 graphics

If those are absolutely pitiful, then I'm gonna be ticked... again, I'm not big on computers, so help me out here.

DayZ Needs around 6GB Ram, you don't have.

DayZ Needs at least 4 Cores, 6+ is handy. You have 2.

DayZ Needs a mediocre graphics card, nothing special but yours ain't good.

I think he is just chatting bull if I'm completely honest. He probably thinks there is some sort of secret fix which there isn't. LIke I said I think he has bought an all in one PC so the price would of been built into a screen and probably with a touch screen. I doubt he paid a thousand dollars for it, I found one with the same specs for 500 Dollars.
