EdtheZed 11 Posted January 12, 2013 I really want to play Dayz on my laptop but it seems to be incredibly laggy it worked about a month ago. I have tried putting graphics down to lowest as possible is there anything i can do on my computer that will make Dayz faster I am going to be getting a gaming computer but i want to play it for now. DemonGroover 8836 Posted January 12, 2013 I play on my laptop - it all depends on your specs
Conkers92 0 Posted January 14, 2013 Well my computer has basic specs and runs fine on lowest settings....specs.intel celeron 1.60ghz6gb ramnothing fantastic but the game runs. I heard people saying the game wont run on anything below 1.80ghz but thats bullhonkey, just be sure to have 2gb of ram and im sure the game will run providing you dont have any other programs running on the laptop whilst playing..... My game barely runs 60 fps on lowest with 2.80 Ghz AMD X4 and 8GB ram.

Meeshe 170 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) I play on a laptop too. Got decent fps in a big city last night. My advice is play with the settings and use the ones that work for you. I dont think there is a magic setting. From what Ive read, lowest setting isnt always the best solution to laggy gameplay in DayZ. So really, just play around with it and find what works best with your laptop. Good luck :)Edit.... I think it probably wouldnt hurt to make sure your video drivers are all updated, turn off all programs and services that arent neccesary, things like that, make sure what horsepower you do have is being used on the game. You would be surprised at how many random services are messing with your CPU if you don't stop them. As for in-game settings what Phooey says is also true. Some settings change which part of your computer they're relying on as you change them around.
