There should be horses you can ride around.They would just roam around and when you approach there would be a random chance it would run away (in which case you can shoot/gut/eat it) but there would be a chance you could mount it and ride it around!Quick search of armaholic suggests it wouldn't be impossible to implement!http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10419&highlight=HORSEThoughts? I mean, how many wild horses are you going to find on a populated island? And if you found any, how many of you would have the balls to go up to one, let alone ride the damn thing! Having a mounted posse of end-of-the-world survivors at my back is the penultimate expression of how I picture surviving the last days. I've even got a notebook FULL of plans to build stables and start a thriving economy based on horses, and what trade goods and what not I'd deal in if the world ended tomorrow.That said, as much as I support this, I doubt it would ever happen. The engine doesn't seem to like horses (the only ones I've seen were really weird), and if you can't fire your carbine or pistol while mounted, it would be the most heartbreaking thing I've encountered in this game. I submitted horses as a suggestion on the dev site weeks ago. I think horses would be used quite often in a post apocalyptic world. The movie "The Postman" comes to mind. XD[/quote']Chernarus isn't an island - it's a small section of a larger country/continent. Even if it were, there's plenty of land area to support a sizable population of horses. TheHappyPeanut 10 Posted May 17, 2012 I believe this would be a wonderful implementation. The map is insanely huge and it takes an incredible amount of time to walk it on foot. It would be pretty awesome if you were able to tame horses to make your trip a little quicker. I understand that there are already motor vehicles in the game, but I believe a horse would be more enjoyable and an overall better experience, since you could ride through the wilderness with your friends. Why is that this mod isn't awesome enough as it is that now everyone is clamoring for dogs, horses and other animals?
