richjones19772000 9 Posted January 11, 2013 Stumbled across two cars parked up in the woods near the east coast last night ( not well hidden at all).Took one of them,a nice UAZ an perhaps wrongly asked who they belong to and them thanked them .Logged on this morning looking forward to looting up in my brand new UAZ to find it had been wrecked with all the wheels missing.Then literally 20!secs after logging on I get a message in side chat from the only other guy on the server asking how my car was, I replied with which one? An he replied with, the one you took from my camp!.Was this just luck that he re-found it? An even if he did why would he blow it up? Something not right one thinks. Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted January 11, 2013 Could be luck, they could've used a heli very easily to find it or they may have tracked you. There's many poor admins around but many good ones too. Just having your car found and destroyed is part of DayZ and there's no reason here to assume it's admin abuse. No one here on the forum is going to have the foggiest idea what happened except for the one responsible. Why don't you see if the server has their own forum and whine there? Andrew C 13 Posted January 11, 2013 As an admin you can see vehicles on an admin map. It is possible if he did track it down via admin map or asked his friend who is the admin where it went. Nah, they made it to where public servers can have side chat again... As for people making threads in regards to any type of suspected abuse, go look into the official location for these threads, where you will find hundreds of complaints just like yours. The Mod is in its final stages, NONE of the complaints you have will be addresses no matter how well they are formatted. Honesty, tough shit, I find cars and vehicles every night, as I fly around hunting tents/Vehicles. Don't get attached to anything you have.... Had my Dayz.St server with it, and I have a couple public's I play on allowing it. I follow the patch updates pretty closely and this is the first I've heard of it, checked the latest couple patch notes just now and couldn't find anything about it. The Dayz.St servers have the option to allow side chat. I doubt they would allow "anything" that the official rules don't allow. Ersan and the Dayz.St guys are very strict about any offense to these rules. I have found many of the public servers listed in commander that allow the side chat. That's about all I can say.
