FPS Lag. 25 FPS in wilderness, 15FPS in small towns and 5FPS in cities.

Recommended Posts

As the title says I'm having FPS lag but in addition to that I'm running DayZ on the lowest settings possible.

I haven't been playing DayZ for long but I've noticed that my FPS is really bad. Looking at the required specs for Arma ii: Operation Arrowhead I should be able to run DayZ at a decent FPS.

Specs:

CPU: Intel Core 2 QUAD CPU Q8200 @ 2.33 GHz 2.33 GHz

Ram: 6GB @ 600Mhz

GPU: nVidia GTX 260

OS: Windows 7 Home premium 64bit.

Any help/suggestions would be nice.

Thank you in advance.

Thats DayZ. We all struggle with the fps in this game. It should be much better in the standalone however.

You should take a look at your GPU, it's not really the best graphics card to use when playing arma. Either upgrade your graphic card or wait for standalone which will be way more optimized.

2.33Ghz CPU, 600Mhz RAM and a GT 260. It's not really surprising that it's struggling with ArmA/DayZ.

The required specs that you're looking at are the minimum specs required to open the game without getting an error message, lol.
