Okay, to start off I'm sorry if this is posted in he wrong section of the forums and I'm sorry if this has been answered here before. I just couldn't find the right answer. Most questions like this had to do with system specifications.

So I wanted to know. If I can run ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: OA on my system with the only changed made, no shadows (person preference) and droping the details to normal. Would I be able to play DayZ okay? My friend installed his copy of ARMA 2: CO onto my system using his steam account but we didn't think to check if this mod would run fine. And I'm only going to purchase the game if this mod runs half decent.

So long story short, can I run DayZ if I can run ARMA 2: CO okay?

Thank you for your amazingly fast reply.

I had a feeling that's how it would work. But I wasn't sure if it addedso much that it may run differently.

Again thank you for your fast reply.

At the current state? NO. wait for the hotfix.

You can run DayZ 1.7 fine, if u can run ArmA II fine, but stay away from 1.7.1 until the hotfix is out!

1.7.1 Works fine for me, i get 80 FPS when under 20 players have to admit when at 50 it takes a beating down to about 40 FPS atm, but it's still playable

I have 60 fps on 40+ but thats not the issue, the item/zombie spawn is, he wont have much fun with it as a beginner. If he has no high end system, he would only get ~15-20fps. Thats the average my group got on 50 player servers.
