How I Eluded a Zombie Horde With No Gun

I didn't think I would enjoy the No Gun spawns as much as I am. With the increased loot drops it makes it much more challenging but also more enjoyable as I can equip better than I previously had. (If I can manage to survive to a house).

Because zombies are now inside structures when I approach, and I have no weapon, this is making it quite the challenge. Basically I have found that I need to aggro the zombies in a structure and run for my life and try to ditch them.

In one particular instance I got a huge group after me when I had no gun. I hightailed it through the woods, ducking and zig-zagging through trees and shrubs. I was able to ditch all of them except one.

I was lucky enough to find a very large tree in the forest. What ensued was long battle of a zombie chasing me around a tree in circles, almost like dancing around a maypole. I would work to keep the tree between myself and the infected mechanic who viewed me as his next meal.

Finally after much chasing around that tree I was able to keep out of line of sight from him and go prone. I backward crawled away from the tree and left him in the woods still looking for me. Now that the group of zombies was scattered I was able to enter the barn and finally get a weapon. Survivor Victory and Thank God for Trees!

I am looking forward to it. One thing I love about this game is that it gives me an experience I cannot find in any other game out there. It is going to be hard as heck but I can't wait to try out using some flares or chem lights for a quick diversion and then bugging out before bandits show up and try to waste a bullet on me. :)

I met up with a guy on the way to prigorodky barn, he ran full out and 1 or 2 zombies chased him, he ran into the barn and started shooting, about 15 zombies entered the barn. I went in after him and ran up the other side of the barn. 1 Zombie saw me and i threw a can at the ground below it. It turned around. He tried jumping but passed out and was eaten a bit, then jumped again and was eaten more then died. SO i just sat up there with 15 zombies in a barn with me, and i wanted to get to the other side to get an xbow. So i just threw loads of cans out the doors. All the zombies left eventually.

I backed into a corner and threw a flare up to one of the top catwalks. The zombies somehow lost interest in me and went after the flare. One by one, the zombies would climb up a ladder and sprint off the catwalk they'd climbed up to, falling to their death.

I was chased by one zed for about 2km while standing running, dodging between pines and shit...he still pursued. Finally i went to a crouch run and did the same thing, and he FUCKIN FINALLY stopped chasin me *cause i was makin less noise apparently*

My experience is that they just don't get close enough to hit me, once I get into an enterable building, I hit up the back door exit and I'm gone!

Another player helped me get into a barn full of zombies, although he didnt realise it.

I had been scoping the place out for a while when I noticed another player crawling towards it, so I hung back and watched. He was spotted by the zombies pretty quickly, stood up and legged it. All 4 zombies that were inside the barn and some others that were outside chased him, I've no idea what happened but a few minutes later I saw '(playername) has died' in the bottom left of the screen. 'Ha! nice one mate', strolled into the barn, found 2 dead players, looted them, grabbed what I needed and strolled out.
