Looking for a Dayz server that is actually a Dayz server

So I have just gotten Dayz and I have been trying to find a server, all of them either are strange mods of the mod dayz, where there arnt zombies....od

or I am a crow.......

also, whenever I try to connect to an australian server I either get kicked for using the map or have a "bad version, server rejected connection" message

Do you guys know of any actual Dayz servers that work? or is it just me?

It sounds like its just you. I might suggest reinstalling ARMA 2: CO and reinstalling DayZ using dayzcomander.

The one in my sig is a DayZ server though it's the Panthera map so not sure if that's much use to you.

mines plain old cherna with extra vehicles (never gets 500 though, just a random number usually somewhere around 70-80 + heli's)

It's on the vilayer hive so your char/position will save on other vilayer servers

Try http://balotabuddies.net/ for whitelisted servers (mainly in AUS but they're spreading across the globe). I'm one of the mods who whitelists applicants over there. So just to ensure balance and fairness let me also tell you there is a whole long list of servers to join in the Private Hive Discussion Forum. I suggest you have a look in there and join a number of them. You'll find lots of good servers to play on in there. Join lots of them. You can't have too many. :thumbsup: :beans:

You need to go to"Install/update" on dayzcommander if that's what you use. Then go to ARMA 2 and on the left click update. Do the same for dayz on the option below. I had this problem and spent 3 hours working it out. Only made the game more sweet!
