purplish 70 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) I think that is the standalone would have rear-view mirrors and side view mirrors working in cars it would be very helpful for those who drive in first person and cars whose back is blocked by a tarp or other things. In Arma 2 they do not work and show a fuzzy image. A few games now a day have it (e.g. Bf3, far cry 3 ect.edit: Rocket just replied to me on reddit, it is already a feature in the current engine for the stand alone Edited January 10, 2013 by Purplish
TIC 1050 Posted January 10, 2013 Could work out good for the servers that disable 3rd person view.
Roughstone 0 Posted January 10, 2013 Tottaly agree, huge feature indeed, that adds the bit missing in vehicle realism.
thesodesa 99 Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) One thing I would like to add to this is that having working mirrors in houses and elsewhere might be good way of making it possible to visually detect certain diseases on your character. Aside from the obvious boil-inducing diseases, just having your character go visibly pale (if you're caucasian) when he is about to catch a flu could work as a warning for players that something is off about their avatar.Thoughts? This should be very plausible if the engine already supports mirrors. I play only in 1st person because I feel that 3rd person totally breaks my immersion, so this would be a very essential feature for me.
