Error messages, can't join servers

Installed ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead via Steam

Downloaded and installed "Play with SIX" linked to via www.dayzmod.com

Used "Play with SIX" to install and launch DayZ

I get a couple of error messages: "Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_Dubbing_Counterattack'", "No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/Citizen1.scope'".

When I try to join any server I get the infamous "You can not edit/play this map it is dependent on content that has been deleted.chernarus".

After several failed attempts at finding a solution in the forums that I could make ANY sense of, I went back and tried to install DayZCommander instead.

Now I get the error message "It doesn't appear you have Arma2 Combined Operations installed and/or you have not started the game manually first. Would you like to purchase Arma2 Combined Operations right now?"

install/update says:

ARMA 2: NOT FOUND (Out of date)

DAYZ: NOT FOUND (Out of date)

1. Which of these two launchers should I use with Steam?

2. How can I get it to work?

1. dayz commander is the best if all you are doing is playing dayz and the other dayz maps in my opinion

2. uninstall dayz commander

close steam

start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator)

right click on arma2 and properties then local files

click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice

and do the same for arma2 oa

run arma2 to the menu

run arma2 oa to the menu

click in expansions

make sure the following are enabled

arma2

arma2 oa

arma2 baf lite

arma2 pmc lite

if not enable them and restart then exit the game

install dayz commander and install the latest beta patch and version of dayz

run arma2 to the menu

*smacks head* I misunderstood and thought ArmA2:OA was sufficient since the ordinary campaign worked that way. DayzCommander still doesn't detect anything but SIX suddenly worked like a charm once the plain ArmA2 was in place.

in dayz commander make sure the paths in the settings point to arma locations
