How about tasers? They would instantly knock out players. And how about a gattling gun? It greatly hampers your speed and makes tons of noise. Another idea is a flare gun. It automatically shoots up in the air when you use it. Players and zombies see it. You could use it to let others know where you are.

I think we're not supposed to make "wish-list" suggestions like this, but whatever.

Tasers: Yes. I fully support any (realistic) attempt to make non-lethality more viable and practical.

Gatling gun: No. LMGs are enough, and it would be unrealistic to carry one around.

Flare Gun: Sure, but why make it automatically shoot up in the air? It could also double as a weapon for someone desperate.
