Silvestar 0 Posted January 8, 2013 Hello,i have looked for a solution in different forums and YouTube-tutorials, but nothing worked, when I start to play this game, it is lagging, like when I run all six steps or in city’s, I know there are many topics and I’ve tried it all, iam writing here because, I f…ing love this game so much, even when its lagin that hard, but there are moments, like when I get shoot, and I couldn’t do anything cause of the lagin, which make me stop, so i`ll give u a description of what ive already done, and I really really hope someone of u see a little mistake which vie made or something else that will make me play this game free of lags (sry for my bad English):My Computer:-AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Processor-AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series-4 Gb Ram-Windows 7, 64 bitWhat I have already tried-Graphic and Resolution as low as it is possible-The ArmA2.cfg and ArmA2OA.cfg opened and changed:” FSAA=1,GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1, GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1”-Changed in ArmaProfile: “scenecomplexity=100000” (more against Grafic-Bugs)-In Steam I put a” CpuCount=6” to the startingoptions of Arma2 and OA, also I put the DayZcommander in Non-Steamgames and did the same CPu-thing- I have tried about 10 servers, from ping 39 to 120 and player-count 1-40I bought Arma2 and OA on steam, installed and started them, then installed DayzCommanderI really hope someone can help meGreetings Sil

kingochaos 131 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Go google ram disk for dayz dude... I dont have issues and am running it on just a 7200rpm hrd drive... but i run my system of an ssd... and will be getting a few more now they are reasonably priced to run games off, and another for FRAPS... but ram disk is a free option to get around the fact arma is a bit limited by read speeds on hard drives. (if you are running yah system, and games off the same harddrive... and its not a raid configiration... this is probably the issue.) disorder 344 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Restore the GPU_MaxFramesAhead GPU_DetectedFramesAhead to 100, it will cause glitches at 1 from what I've seen. Its a nice compromise over 1000.scene complexity should also be default.Turn off post processing, antialiasing and alpha to coverage.Hdr low- medShadows highTextures and object detail highMemory defaultIf you want a smoother anti aliasing effect, try 3d rendering on 114%, leave interface at 100%Make sure render distance is under 2000Get back to me if you still have issues. disorder 344 Posted January 9, 2013 I thought scene complexity was 50000, but honestly the engine changes it by itself and adjusts when it needs to
Silvestar 0 Posted January 9, 2013 "scene complexity should also be default."is what u say, and i dont know what to do, but i did the rest
chris_heyward 47 Posted January 9, 2013 V-sync should be off as this can rape a card once the action starts going. Your issues may not be with the game. I have helped countless people set up their PC for gaming and the majority that have issues, are having them because they have never once cleaned their system of all the crap or optimised it for gaming.Check you have an anti-virus, if not, get AVG Free as this is one of the best (mcafee, avast and norton are the worst in my experience)Download and run MalwareBytesDownload and run SpyBot Search and DestroyDownload Ccleaner and do a Reg scan and Clean (remember to back up the registry entries it removes in case it removes something that makes your PC unstable)If you really want to, search Google for "Black Vipers Service Tweaks" and get the registry files. Double click on these after un-zip'ing. (Remember to download the "Safe AND Default ones. Safe tweaks it and Default puts it back the way it was before if something goes wrong). This disables all the unnecessary services that run in the background that you do not need running.Run a defrag (can take all night if your disc(s) is in a bad shape)In addition to this, download Razer's GameBooster (formely IObit GameBooster). This optimises you PC right before you run a game. Remember to tweak the settings before you boost. After this, there is nothing much left to do other than updating drivers (which GameBooster should point out if needed)These are the things I do and my PC runs DayZ on max setting (minus AA, PP and V-Sync) and minus your RAM, your PC is better than mine.Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1AMD Phenom II X4 975 Processor Black Edition, ~3.6GHz8 gb of Corsair VengeanceNVIDIA GeForce GTS 450Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3

Termin@tor 0 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) Most of the time the fps lag is caused by bad servers, I used to get 10-20 FPS on random official servers outside the city , then i joined the balotabuddies.net private hive server (You have to apply on whitelist) and now i'm getting 50-60 fps outside the cities, and 20-30 FPS inside big cities like cherno and elektro.
