Seems to be a lot of negative threads/posts....

Recommended Posts

I would just like to say that it seems that recently a large amount of people are throwing complaints at the team who are working extremely hard all the time on this mod. This isn't another protective thread for the team but just a little view of the forum and other things lately. however i do understand why some people are a little frustrated.

however as many people have said it is an Alpha stage mod and hick ups are going to occur. i don't think people are grasping the fact that they are testing a mod, it seems as though people are playing it as though it was a full release and just hurling abuse towards the team of people trying to improve the game. The whole point of this is to try things, change things and test stuff. And yes 1.7.1 has got glitches, bugs and all that but give them time to fix it. After all its only recently been released?!. Of course the team thrive on the feedback from the community but i think it's more of an abusive approach rather than constructive criticism or feedback.

My personal view ... not really important but if you want to know :) ..

I really do love the game/mod and everything about it 1.7.1 did dissapoint me a little but its not the end of the world and i believe if you don't like it wait for the next patch. but the whole point of it is to test it and i will play every patch so that maybe somehow i can help. I know im not the only one that says this as many others in the community are willing to truly help the mod team too.

I would just like to thank Rocket and everyone else involved with the making of this mod as i believe it is going to turn out amazingly. Also i would like to thank anyone who has taken the time to read this.

Thanks,

Jack

Frankly, I'm satisfied if the people unhappy about not having a weapon when you spawn leaves.

9/10 times I die, it's because a guy just spawned, walks to me and shoot me with his makarov.

^How is that fair? Now if you actually searched for hours and got a gun, you'd be thinking: "Is it worth shooting that person and attract zombies?" Because you know if you die, you're gonna lose everything and now you gotta find new weapons again.. It's more realistic.

I can't help but think that the Devs would cause themselves far less aggro if they didn't try to change the world in a single patch. I think more frequent patches but with less content, to aid a smooth transition from one patch to the next, would benefit everybody.

I believe that you do not understand the purpose of an Alpha.

the fact that it is in alpha does not give people the right to throw abuse at people who have stated complaints about the game.

There are more people throwing abuse at people doing what they're supposed to be doing - posting criticism at the game - than people throwing abuse at the admins.

It's becauase the 1% of shit players come here to tell everyone how shit they are.

Then theres like about .02% who come here to defend the mod.

The forums are full of shit.

I actually like playing a game where the rules change. Keeps things fresh and interesting. With most games, you figure out the mechanics pretty quickly and the rest of the game is grind, grind, grind. Here, it keeps you thinking and adapting. I wish more people would appreciate that.
