Has Chernarus died to most players?

I'm trying to keep my server alive and well, but my player count isn't seeing the numbers I'd like them to be (Over 25-30).

What do you think the best PvP map is that will attract more players?

Our server has about 200 vehicles, custom towns, custom loot tables, etc. We have a small active community (About 7) that are on about daily.

sounds awesome man, we've had our server for 3 weeks and we are now hitting 40 players a night at peak times its awesome and the PVP is great. I can't understand why yours is not more active. Quick question we are trying to implement custom loot tables and other mods how do you do so? does the server have to be dedicated (as we are renting)? The only reason i can think is maybe admin isnt active enough we usually have 2 admins on at all times minus the early hours

We are running a private hive server. Idk if you can add buildings and such on non-private hive. But adding custom scripts such as increased custom anti-hack scripts, custom debug monitor, loot tables, etc can only be done via private hive with access to the server's .pbos.

I'm still not understanding why our server isn't more populated :\

yes we are a private hive and we have access to the pbos but no knowledge of editing them (i thought this was a bannable offense?). We also have ours set to always day?

If youre server is a private hive then you can modify anything you want, aslong as you/your host has the tools to do so :)

Public official DayZ hives are different though, you cant even ban players from them! :o

If you are connected to the official hive yes your server can be black listed for an edited .pbo. Shared hive's like Vilayer's is entirely up to them.

Can you? I didn't think Rocket allowed local bans on public hive servers
